Enjoyed this movie.
3.0 out of 5 stars The Sniper series has fallen hard.
The gunplay is poorly coordinated and the operators plan at a level of someone who has never been trained. The hand to hand combat is overdone by far, and poorly executed at that. The sniper series used to be about the best of the best. The only reason a single person lived through Brandon's poor planning is a thick and poorly hidden layer of plot armor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hard Men And Women Out There In The Dark, Somewhere, Protecting Us, As We Sleep Peacefully Unaware
It Is Said: "We sleep safely in our beds, at night, because there are Hard Men And Women, out there in the dark, protecting us from Evil"While dramatized, and a bit Romanticized, for the sake of our enjoyment, this Film stands as an Anthem to those Nameless and Faceless Heroes, who protect us, without ever knowing our names, or faces, nor we ever knowing theirs. There is little that we can do for them, but recognize their Service and Sacrifices, All on our behalf, and take it for what it is, a Call To A Duty that few of us ever feel, or answer, but we all must recognize and be Ever Thankful, for their Allegiance to our Great Nation, and Lives Of Sacrifice And Service to its People. The Price extracted for their Heroism, Sacrifice And Service Is Often Great, and sometimes requires "The Ultimate Sacrifice, of Their Bodies, If Not, Giving Up Their Very Lives" All Of It, to Protect Us, and keep us from Harm.As we go about living our lives, it is only Right and Proper, that we give thought to them and the Price They Pay, For The Continued Freedom that this Great Nation, affords us, simply because of our Birthright, as Citizens, but "They" provide So Much More, in Service toward a more Peaceful And Safe World. A World that often Criticizes, Denigrates and even Vilifies These Hard Men And Women, for their actions, but also a World that Never Fails To Call On These Very Same Hard Men And Women, often in Fear And Desperation, when "The Wolves Are, Once Again, At Their Doors. Make No Mistake About Any Of It, When The Call Goes Out And Orders Are Given, these Very Same "Hard Men And Women," Never Fail To Answer. I may know a little more than the average American, about these Hard Men(The Women Warriors Came Long After "My War" was over, but they will Always have my Utmost Appreciation And Respect) I was not one of those Hard Men over a half Century Ago, but I had the Distinct Honor And Privilege To Serve Among Such Men. Knowing Them gave me a Well Remembered Sense Of Awe, not because they looked like Greek Gods, or made John Wayne's Movie Roles look like Mere Shadows(None Of That was the case). Some of the Men were "All American Boys(Men Every One) who looked the part, while others were So "Average Looking" that you wouldn't give a single thought to were you to meet them on the street, while others were Distinctive, in their ability to appear even Below Average Specimens)A lot of that was a Facade that enabled them to be even More Effective at their jobs, and make no mistake, these diminutive and Spectacularly Unassuming men were Holy Terrors, when the need arose. Few Service Personnel have the Privilege I was given all those years ago, and the older i become, the more I appreciate That Privilege, and would Very Respectfully, Ask and even Suggest that as you go about your lives, give a silent Thought to all these Exemplary Men and Women, and what they do for all of us, and maybe a small Prayer(If you are a Praying Person) or Thought to these Silent Heroes, Their Families, And The People Who Love Them(As funny as it may sound "Going Down Range" is often easier than sitting at Home, keep their "Other Lives" Together, while being Scared To Death, with Hearts In Their Throats Every Time The Phone Rings or an unexpected Knock is heard at their door. That Takes A Real Toll on those back at Home. Perhaps they need our "Thoughts And Prayers" more than Their Person does, because they often pay an equal, if not Bigger Price. Please, from time to time, give a Thought To These Men and Women, with Gratitude in your Hearts, for The Price Of Their Service.Once upon a time, over a period of just over 2 years(Very Bad Years), I went to far too many "Military Funeral Services" for both Friends, Comrades, and Several Close Relatives, in a short period of time. What your Parents or Grandparents, and maybe you, saw on the Nightly News, I and Too Many Others saw it, Far Too Up Close And In Person. In every One, I was Both Deeply Saddened And Honored Beyond Measure, by the Privilege of Walking These Heroes The Last Few Feet/Yards/Miles, to Their Final Resting Place. Once I Laid A Close and Beloved Relative, To Rest At Arlington, and that one Hit Me Hard And Fast Like colliding with a Mack Truck, going full speed, to be even a very small part of, what many consider the Ultimate Military Tribute. A Tribute He Earned In Spades, and I've always hoped he got to see it from wherever he was at the time we Laid Him To Rest. He Would Have Loved It All, knowing it was All For Him.With every passing year, I remember them all, and God Forbid I Ever Forget.Lest We, Any Of Us, Forget, America. They Deserve No Less From Us, but to remember and think of them, as we go about our lives
5.0 out of 5 stars About Time The Sniper Came Back !
The last 2 installments, Sniper Rogue and Sniper G.R.I.T. were lacking compared to the rest of the series. Too much music and too many choreographed fight scenes that weren't believable. This movie has gained the support of the Sniper Fan Base with a GREAT STORY LINE, GREAT ACTION, and BELIEVABLE ACTORS that took the Fan Base on a WILD RIDE back to the origins of the series. I also like where they left it open for another Sniper movie that I hope I will love as much as the last one. Go Brandon and Zero!!
