He had been through training just before we got him, so he knew his commands, but would pick and choose when he wanted to listen to them. He had a mile-wide stubborn streak. I decided to try this collar, because I liked the features it offered and ability to add another collar in the future and use the controller for both. We'll be getting another dog, so this was a great feature to have. I also liked that you could use just a chime, or escalate to vibrate before pressing the shock feature. I tried it on myself first, on my forearm. It's definitely an uncomfortable / unpleasant sensation, but I wouldn't call it painful. He must have had one of these before, because I said "come" one time and he came running like it was his job! I didn't even have to press a button. A few days of 100% listening with no button pushes blew my mind, but then he got comfortable. One afternoon he ran for the fence to bark at the neighbor's dog. I told him to "leave it" and he ignored me. I pressed just the chime, and he came running to me in a hurry. I've had him for about 3.5 mos now and I've never needed to press the shock button. I get the feeling he'd likely been shocked in the past, after hearing the "reminder bell" first, and he knows EXACTLY what it means. I've only used the vibrate once and he came running to me again. I took the collar off to give him a bath and forgot to put it back on him. After I let him out, he ran towards the neighbor's barking dog to engage with her, "come" and "leave it" were ignored. I had to go get him. I put his collar on and walked back to the house. He tried to engage with her barking again, I rang the bell... ignored. I hit the vibrate button and he came running to me with a very submissive attitude. When he's wearing the collar, he knows it and he's very obedient. When it's off, he's more stubborn. All I can say is... it works like a charm.

I bought this for my 4 month old puppy and I was very skeptical. The first time I put it on him he was scared because of the beep sound so he jumped. However, I waited and tried it again and turned it on before I got near him and it went well. The first time it beeped, he looked around and had no clue what was going on. But most of all...HE FINALLY STOPPED BARKING LIKE CRAZY!! I couldn't believe it. Then I thought he would get used to it and ignore it...I WAS WRONG! I'm very happy to report that every time I put it on him after he starts barking...he stops as soon as I put it on. I don't have to keep it on all day... I just put it on him when he starts getting a little crazy with barking. I also have to say that...he actually slowed down on the constant and random barking since I purchased this. I am very very very happy with this collar and there's NO SHOCK involved! LOVE IT AND RECOMMEND IT especially if you have a very chatty furbaby! 👍

Very satisfied with this dog training collar. We have a 6mos old Doberman and he responded quickly. If he was misbehaving & wasn’t listening to verbal commands I would click the beeping button. It would direct his attention back to me. I only had to use the shock button a few times as he was doing something I really didn’t want him doing. It was automatic he started to respond to my verbal commands. He’s still a puppy and just by clicking the beeping button he runs to my side. He doesn’t always have the collar on, but once I put it on him he’s already behaving! I like how there’s different levels in strength for the beeping, vibration & shocking buttons. And it’s a plus that there’s a light on the collar so I can walk him at nights.

We needed help with our year-old terrier. She just didn't pay attention to any other method of training her to come to me or back in the house. I ordered one of these collars months ago and returned it because I couldn't bear the thought of hurting her. The situation became impossible so I have tried again. I am training her to come by using a coach's whistle as her cue to stop what she's doing and come inside. This collar has made that wonderfully possible and with no pain at all. The vibrate setting, I'm using 16, gets her attention right away and she starts running for the house. I highly recommend this collar as an assist for probably any kind of manners training needed with a smart, active puppy or adult dog. She considers the collar to be hers and is happy when I put it on her. The quality sems to be good and I only have to charge the collar once every 2 or 3 days. It is light weight and the box on the collar is small enough that she hardly notices it hanging around her neck. I didn't have to put the metal prongs into the collar for shocking.

I was hesitant to try a training collar, but this one has completely changed the game. The remote is intuitive, and the range is impressive — it easily works across my yard. I have only used the beep and vibration modes, and they’ve been super effective in getting my dog’s attention. The adjustable intensity levels give me peace of mind, and the collar fits securely without bothering my dog. Bonus: it’s waterproof, so I don’t have to worry during rainy walks or playtime near water. Highly recommend for anyone working on training or improving recall.
