Item was packed well for shipping and most pieces were covered in plastic wrap to protect the finish. I assembled by myself and took my time. 1:45 minutes for assembly. I managed to install two pieces upside down for parts 12 and 13 so make sure you are not blocking one of the screw holes during this steps. I would consider it an easy assembly. Bed is sturdy and well designed. I am using it with no box spring. In my opinion, it does make the bed a little low but I think it is designed to be used with no box spring. The frame probably look better with no box spring as well. SO far so good. The only little nit pick is the center support on the long side of the bed. It looks cheap and you can easily stub your toe. I wish the support was more toward the middle of the bed,Most likely I will get pipe insulation and paint it black or buy a wrap from on Bolo. The LED lights are a generic addon and not custom fitted for the frame. I did not install and will most likely throw it away. Very happy with the purchase.
