My sister has MS and nerve damage which making getting tattoos hard for her. I had a half sleeve planned so I ordered the cream, and applied it once an hour every 3 hours and went to my appointment. I sat for around 6 and half hours before I even began to feel the tiniest pokes from the tattoo needle. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who enjoys tattoos but hates the pain.

Make sure you read the directions. I used this to microneedle my face and left it on for an hour as directed. I am so glad I did, because that was not fun. This helped minimize the pain by 98%. Ensure you put on a good amount, but don't overdo it. You don't need to cake it on. I will definitely be getting this again.

This stuff is amazing!!!!! Didn’t feel a thing for like the first hour and a half. I will put more layers on next time to go the full session. I will never get a tattoo again without using this first!!!!!

I was skeptical about this cream. I’m getting my third tattoo but first big tattoo this coming week. I was nervous about sitting for a few hours and enduring the pain, so I wanted to try out a numbing cream.When it arrived, I read the instructions (very tiny on the package):1. Put a thick area you want to numb.2. Wrap the area in cling wrap.3. Let it sit for one hour.4. Remove the cling wrap and wipe it off.5. Wait 20 minutes for full effect.I tested this on the under side of my forearm, and was not impressed. When I wiped it off, I could still feel my arm quite a bit. Maybe it took the edge off, but it didn’t make as much of a difference as I had hoped.I decided to try it again. This time, I cut a plastics page protector to the size of my arm. The idea was to reduce the wrinkles and crevices of the cling wrap that the cream got stuck in after I wrapped my arm. I thought maybe it was keeping it from being in contact with my skin. So this time, I layered on a thick layer of the cream, covered it in the plastic page protector (which is stiffer and less wrinkly), and then wrapped in cling wrap. I don’t know if it accomplished what I had hoped because after waiting the hour and wiping it off, it felt about the same as the first time I tested it.So I decided to do another round. After waiting 20 minutes, I layered on another thick layer of cream, again covered with the plastics page protector, and then wrapped in cling wrap. I waited another hour. Then, I wiped it off, and was completely shocked by the feeling.Have you ever had a lidocaine shot at the dentist to fix a cavity, and for the next few hours you’re poking the side of your face without really feeling it? Yeah, that’s how my arm felt after the second round back-to-back! I was pleasantly shocked!!It lasted about 4 hours and then rapidly wore off.Again, I have no idea if the plastic page protector helped to keep the cream closer to my skin while it was wrapped, but treating my arm twice is definitely the key. I’m excited for my appointment later this week. I’ll report back after it’s done on how effective it was. Im anticipating an easy appointment!——UPDATE: I’m still impressed. I did 2 x hour-long treatments with this cream in prep for my tattoo today. When the artist started, I didn’t feel it at all. However, the more she wiped the ink and used a solution, the more it started to wear off. I made it through the line work with only a couple tender areas. She thought we might need to break and do the shading later after it healed, but I was going strong. It definitely took the edge off and helped me get over my nerves. It was an amazing product! Even though it wore off some, I would use it again in a heartbeat! I truly believe it made a difference.Make sure to check with your artist that he or she will work with numbing cream on your skin. Some won’t. Also, make sure to test it on your skin at least a week in advance. Some people have a reaction. It may cause your skin to become inflamed, raised, and/or hard, which makes it difficult to tattoo.I’m happy with the results.

For years I believed I had a high threshold for pain but when I started sitting for a large rose vine tattoo down my right hip, thigh and calf...I found out I'm the biggest whimp when it comes to tattoo pàin. I got some of this stuff and remained skeptical but optimistic as I slathered it on thickly and wrapped the area in plastic. I could feel it begin working almost instantly and waited the recommended 50 minutes, removed the plastic and wiped up the excess, allowing 10 minutes to pass to reach peak effectiveness.Miracle of whussie miracles....it worked! I actually fell asleep on my tattoo artist for a little half hour snooze when he began working on my calf. He said I started snoring before he hit a sore spot and I startled awake. It's not perfect but it's way better than just trying to muscle throúgh the discomfort and pain. Worth the money and works better than I'd expected.
