This fan fit the original fan hole perfectly, so there was no cutting needed and a minimal mess to clean up. It is really quieter than the original. This thing is practically silent. If there was not a small light to indicate the fan is on we would not know it would be on. The instructions are very clear on what to do and the instillation is simple and easy. You will not need to go into the attic. It blows strong so you will not have any more wet walls and ceilings. Your mirrors will not be steamed up. This fan is a great and budget friendly.

Bought this to replace an outdated, noisy fan in our primary bathroom. We do not have attic access in that area due to vaulted ceilings and it was a bit tricky to connect at first but we eventually got it figured out. Noisier than our new guest bathroom fan but definitely not as bad as the old fan. The price is reasonable, quality seems decent, and it works well. Very basic design, but it's a bathroom fan and we weren't looking for fancy.

I really wanted to get a more quiet bathroom exhaust fan - the old one was annoyingly loud. This one is the ticket! At only 1 sone, you can barely hear it (don't forget to turn it off!). It was super easy to install, as long as you have a 4" exhaust, if it is a 3", you will need to purchase a reducer, since one is not supplied. Also, depending on your old exhaust fan size, you may need to patch the wall if this one is smaller (this one measures 9.4" x 8.6". Not a big deal, just look online for how to patch a wall if you don't already know how. Very reasonably priced for what you get. While this is suggested for 100 sq ft or smaller, you really only need to measure the shower and toilet areas for size - the other areas don't really need it.

I'm using this to move cool air from the "downstairs" belly compartment of my fifth wheel into the bunkhouse bedroom area. This will help with airflow in that little room. I then have a 6x6 square fan pulling air out the window of the room. Wow what a difference. For most of the day now that room is the coolest room in the trailer and it doesn't have any ac unit.I have my tool area in that compartment and I always felt the cool air billowing out everytime I opened the hatch. Saw this fan listed and decided to take advantage of that cool air.Working 3ven better than I thought it would.Was easy to install as there is an existing heater hose going into that room from the belly compartment. Attached it to this fan, wired it up with the wiring that used to goto the electric water heater (not in use, I put in an on demand propane one awile ago)put the fan grate down on a little aluminum frame I had, secured it to the floor and I was done. Bonus is I can turn it off and on from inside the main hallway with the toggle switch that used to change the old water heater from electric to propane.We can't even hear the fan from inside, so it's nice and quiet.It's moving a decent amount of airIt works great for my application, am sure it would do the same for whatever application that needs airflow.I'd recommend

This is a very good quality exhaust fan. It is so much quieter than our old bathroom fan. It was very easy to install and everything you needed was in the box. We have a 4 inch duct connector and it slipped right on the end of the fan box. The electrical wire was simple to connect as Hubby is a retired electrician. The cover vent is 9.4 inches by 8.6 inches but the hole size in the ceiling is about 7.5 X 7.5 inches. Luckily we could make all the connections and then push the fan up into the ceiling. Then secure it in place with the included screws. The fan is rated at 80 cubic feet per minute and this keeps the mirrors in the bathroom free from any steam. I’m very happy with how quiet this exhaust fan is. If we didn’t have a led light on the fan switch I sometimes would not know the fan was on. This is a good fan at a competitive price point and perfect for our bathroom.

Works great. Noise level is unnoticeable so that to me is major plus. Looks good. A little smaller than previous exhaust hole. Good value. So far air flow is good.

After installing it the fan vibrates more than I expected. I intalled it on a shed outside, but I am not sure I would put it in a bathroom. The connectors that came with I had to cut as they are oy good for solid wires, and I had stranded wires.I posted some pictures of the fan. I put it on the outdoor shed. it really blows a lot of air out and keeps the inverter fresh, lowering the temperature. I finally took it apart. the plastic stucked to it came from a plastic tsb indide that broke. I secured the assembly using a self tapping screw and the noise and vibration are down to normal.

A step up from the economy grade ventilation fans, this not only puts out more airflow but does with less noise. A lot less noise. Part of that noise reduction is attributed to the much better motor and blower fan blade design; the rest is due to the sturdier plastic construction versus thin sheet metal and 4 inch discharge duct. If the existing exhaust is 3 inch in diameter, a reducer (not included) or replacement of the duct is necessary.I was able to do the replacement without attic access, which is good because I wouldn't have any access in a lower level bathroom anyway. Wiring was easy with the included push-connects. Expect to do some sheetrock repairs or covering, however. In the interim, I’m using some foam strips to cover the gap. It does not appear that this fan has been tested by HVI for the performance claims, but it does does have UL approval (E308342) for safety, which is the more important part. Noted with a 2 year warranty, barring any reliability issues, 5 stars.
