Great for someone with a lot of various protein allergies or sensitivities (milk, pea, etc.) but with a big caveat. Tastes exactly as you would expect, like powdered egg whites.This doesn't mix well in water at all, it clumps and turns into glue basically. I would only recommend using this to add to food, such as mixing it into hot oatmeal or buckwheat. If you have a milk frother or something like a small blender that might also work but I found this far too annoying to use in a shaker or just trying to stir it in a cup with water.

Perfect egg white addition to many dishes - great for boosting protein input. Can be added to smoothies or in place of recipes. Or to boost egg dishes with more egg white. Works into recipes well with no taste alterations. It is egg white. Stable on the shelf and easy to use.

We consume a lot of protein powder in our home. Mostly whey, but also some pea protein and occasionally more exotic varieties. The most common usage is in protein shakes and the powder is often the dominant ingredient. We also use protein powders, however, to increase the protein content in a variety of different dishes in which case a flavored protein powder usually defeats the purpose.This is a good, general-purpose protein that won't work well standalone, but does a good job if you're baking or need protein to otherwise cook with.

I am trying to up my protein intake, so when I saw this egg white protein, I figured I’d give it a shot. The first thing I would say is do not put it directly in water, especially cold. Use literally any other liquid, or maybe a smoothie or something. In cold water, it didn’t dissolve easily at all. I had to bring in my milk frother, and it still didn’t really want to mix, rather than just making little clumps. Eventually I got it going, and then it tasted exactly how you might think egg whites in water would taste. Not good.On a smarter occasion, I threw a scoop into a strawberry smoothie I was making. That worked much better. The thicker liquid seemed to help the powder suspend a lot better, and there really wasn’t a taste difference in the smoothie either. Outside of the flavor, the only ingredient is egg whites, and the nutritional information is pretty decent and comparable to other powdered egg whites. It seems like this is a pretty good product for getting some extra protein in without actually frying some up or using other protein powders.

wanted to try an egg protein because whey protein bothers my stomach. It has an “eggy” taste. I’ll have add fruit or PB fit to choke it down.

Oh Nutricost, I tried to like it, I really did.So, I am always looking to add more protein to my diet. Shakes are the easiest way for me to drink down the protein. Silly me thought that adding the egg white to a smoothie would be the best bet.Nope.Not by a long shot.The smell is what made it unappetizing at first. Then the texture was not pleasant to drink. Smoothies are out for me.I did find that I can use this as an egg substitute (with water) for muffins. That is the way I am choosing to use this powder because egg prices are crazy right now.

Good product. This is a bit more expensive than other egg white proteins, but that is because these ones are organic. I mis this into the dry ingredients of my pancake and waffle mixes to up the protein before adding the wet ingredients.
