I had a couple of nails splitting. I purchased and used as directed to cover split. It goes on smooth and prevents breakage. I would highly recommend. It is better than what is done at a nail salon using glue. This product stays on and does not cause damage to nail

I actually like it...i do agree its a little tricky to pull apart but I was careful in putting it down and it filed off smoothly. I put a ridge filler over it, the a sheer lacquer and a layer of such vive and I can barely see the crack...and I kinda like the added thickness. In case you can't tell it is my index finger. Not sure how long it will last but it wasn't difficult at all.

Sounded like a great idea. Unfortunately, it’s not. Trying to separate film from liner is difficult enough but then trying to keep film smooth while applying to nail is impossibleReally sorry I paid so much for a disappointing product. I waited too long or I’d send it back.

This has worked great so far. I have a split nail and was using another brand of over patch. It was placed above my manicure. Although it worked, it would only last a couple of days. I purchased this and cut a small piece to place over the split area…….trimmed and filed, then proceeded to apply my manicure. You can’t even A: see where the split is or B: see where the patch is! I didn’t think it was difficult to work with, however, I only needed a small piece.

As someone who’s been having to wear band-aids around several of my fingers due to breakage past the quick (my nails got damaged due to a bad experience with dip powder manicures), I’ll admit that these sheets are definitely a more convenient and aesthetically pleasing fix. They are fairly difficult to remove from the backing sheet and apply smoothly, but not impossible, especially with smaller pieces. Once you add a base and top coat, you can barely see the sheets, even if you use clear polish and only a small bit of the sheet on your nail. Unfortunately, they generally lasted only 1-2 days before the nail(s) broke again. I tried using another small piece and this time was much more careful with my nails afterwards, but pretty much ended up with the same result. Maybe my nails are just too weak or too short for these to work. I can see how some people might get some usage out of this product, especially if they needed a temporary fix to go to an event or something. However, if you’re someone in my position (i.e. you have a nail broken past the quick that you are waiting to grow out long enough so you can trim it), you’ll most likely be needed to re-apply sheets every few days. I struggled between writing these 3 or 2 stars but ended up going with 2 because of how high the price is. I’m definitely going to look for some sort of alternative, or maybe even try the classic “teabag” method.

Leave it to me to finally order this and then not have any dramatic nail breaks for weeks. Weird to be happy a nail split, but it means I can write my review!First things first, I bought this because I figured it would be easier than cutting up a tea bagwhen I need to fix a nail break. That was always my go to fix and it does work perfectly well as long as you cover it with a top coat. I didn't like having to mess with that, though, and figured it would be good to have dedicated nail repair bandages with my other nail supplies.I'm not mad at these at all. They totally help hold your nail together while it grows back. So did my previous method, though, and that one came with a nice relaxing loose leaf cup of tea! This process isn't quite so relaxing. These come with an adhesive that is not all that user friendly, but I assume it helps keep the sheet where you need it once you successfully peel that backing off. I didn't find cutting the sheet to be that difficult, but I agree with other reviewers who state how nice it would be if these came precut in nail shapes of various sizes! Ideally they could add a tiny tab to make peeling the backing off a bit easier, too. I know they say you can just apply it and you'll be fine, but just put some clear polish on top to help seal it in place. Make sure you cap the free edge of your nail, otherwise the sheet and your damaged nail are going to come back off. Take the extra step to take care of yourself.Overall, I think this is a worthwhile product for people who like to grow their natural nails and sometimes need to protect a damaged one while it grows out. Is it better than the tea bag method? Probably a little, but not actually any easier. Would I buy it again? Maybe. If they take my suggestions to improve the product, then definitely!
