Stupidly easy to use!
I use this for my cat who needed to get off free feedings, but also as backup for days out.The setup took maybe 10 minutes at most. Hardest part was figuring out how large each “scoop” sizes were. My cat normally gets 1/4 cup per feeding, which is right between the #2 and #3 setting. We set ours to #3 in case the other cat also needs food (they’re weirdly good at sharing bowls haha). The bottom bowl also easily comes off for cleaning.Only downsides I have is sometimes the top lid gets stuck, the timer can be off by a minute or two, and sometimes the food inside gets a bit stuck. Otherwise it holds a lot of food, pretty sturdy when full, and has been working for me for 2 years now!

Brought for my father in law to help keep his dogs on a diet. ( Likes to over feed them). The vet told us to put them on a diet. This was cheep, and works well for what we need it for. My boyfriend fills it up in the mornings when he goes over to take care of his dad, and since it has a timer, it is set for how many meals throughout the day. It can hold a lot of food, but we but about 4 cups in it and it fits well. Don't know if it's on batteries or plugged into the wall. It's sturdiness hold up. Good value for your money. Noise level is that of normal use.

Too light weight - cat often knocks it over
The feeder works well - it is easy to program and there are a lot of options for number of feedings per day and the amount of food to be dispensed. However, it is fairly light weight and my cat regularly knocks it over. It will not dispense food lying on its side. Sometimes food will spill out of the top even though I closed and locked the lid. In addition, the bowl does not attach securely and is easily disconnected from the feeder. I am not going to return it but I would not buy it again and encourage you to look at other options.

Read lots of reviews for lots of products so I was skeptical. It has none of the defects of others I saw in the first week. Bright readable screen. Easy programming (but I’m a geek). Keeps perfect time. Unit is firmly attached together. Lid locks. Bowl attaches to unit, though you have to pay attention to its orientation to get the lock tab in the bowl slot. With batteries, the unit doesn’t tip easily. And, bonus, the feed container and dispenser detaches from the electronic base so you can was the whole thing (hand wash) with soap and water! I recommend this product!
