After a LOT of research, I found that the most hygienic baby bottle in terms of germs is glass - and glass also doesn't have any of the potential health risks from the plastics, especially when plastics are heated. Of course, the one drawback of glass - especially since they're used for babies - is the potential to break. These silicone sleeves are an absolute must have with glass bottles! They slide on and off fairly easily. They offer great protection from the glass bottles breaking. They are also easy for baby to grip and hold.
