I like the wide variety of pieces that came in this set, such as trees, traffic cones, a windup Dino, volcanos, rock bridges, a magnetic crane that can pick up a small shipping container piece, and more (along with all the expected wooden train tracks and bridges). The track pieces are mostly good, with just a few that are a bit difficult to fit in with the other pieces (cut a little off so you have to kind of force them), several suspension bridges and supports so you can use the regular tracks raised off the ground. There are also two Y pieces with a little plastic switch piece you can use to move the trains from one track to the other; these pieces also make it so you can make more interesting routes and circles. I ordered this set to use with an existing wooden set and they fit together fine for the most part. Happy with the set, think it’s a good value and will provide fun for many ages. It does have some small pieces that would be choking hazards for younger toddlers, but can remove those, as I did, and use the rest.

My son and I started playing with this set and quickly found out that the best part was the moving dinosaur!! Give him a bit of a shove and he goes forward and then loop-de-loops in circles, which is quite entertaining as it switches sides. Anything plastic seems of an okay quality however some of the paint on the volcanos was messy, so it made lava look like it was going all over, but since they are in mid eruption I don't really see that as a downside. Everything seemed to be accounted for, however I didn't count as my son was way to excited and was pulling all the pieces out faster than I could take stock. The tracks seem made well and fit with the other tracks we have just fine. There was one wooden track that seemed a bit off, but it still worked and the issue was minor. It just looked odd where they meet together. All in all, this is a pretty fun set and it has a little of everything, so that just adds to the creativity or chaos. It depends on who you are. For us it's a win!! A+++

Good train track set for the price. The wooden track segments are consistent with the other brands we have so are interchangeable and can be combined with other sets to create larger track layouts. The plastic crane was a bit disappointing and does not function well at all. Plastic parts are a little cheap.

My 2 boys love this set!! I love how comes well packaged. Pieces are well crafted. Best part is that you can combine this set with other wooden train tracks which is awesome for my boys. The pieces are small so only can use for toddlers and no infants. Easy to assemble that my 2.5yld and 5 yld have no issues. Tracks are very good quality. Highly functional with other trains and wooden tracks. Great to give as a gift or a just because gift. No negatives!!

My then 18month toddler showed a lot of interest in model train displays over the winter holidays so I though she would enjoy this set at home. She is not able to play with it independently but with an adult, she is quite engaged with how it all fits together and with pushing the train cars on the track. The product information clearly states that it is intended for children age 3 and older and I do agree with that. I like that it does not take up a whole lot of space when it is assembled or when it is stored. For clarification, the track and the train cars are smoothly finished wood. All the other pieces are plastic. When you look at the photo in the product information, this is fairly evident but I was somehow expecting more of it to be wood. All in all, I think it is a good train set for creative play.
