The fact that it’s corded is a big plus for me. No worrying about battery life or whether it’ll make it through the full clean. I just plug it in and it runs until the job is done.The suction is strong and it picks up all the debris I usually have in the pool like leaves, sand, and bugs. I use the Ultra Clean mode before guests come over and it always looks great. It also scrubs the walls and waterline, which makes a big difference in how clean the pool looks overall.The auto-dock feature is really convenient too. When it’s done, it moves to the edge of the pool so it’s easy to pull out without getting wet.I’ve had good experience with Poolmate products before and this one lives up to the same standard. I would definitely recommend this one if you want something reliable and easy to use.

This is my second robotic pool vacuum after 6 years of using a less expensive model. I was impressed by the packaging and the initial impression of this vacuum was that it was very substantial and well built! After the first couple of frustrating runs, the unit seemed to learn our pool and I love it now! Very easy to use and not cumbersome. The basket was extremely easy to clean! I opted for a corded unit since I was reluctant to purchase a battery operated unit, with that said, the cord was very flexible and did not hinder cleaning or use. This is a substantial and well built unit that looks good too! This was a more difficult year with dust settling at the bottom of our pool but with each pass it was clearly noticeable that this vacuum has great suction power and our pool is now sparkling! I recommend this product!

Update 5/18/25:I appreciate their latent zeal towards making things right, but enough is enough. Please stop contacting me.Went to uninstall the app and wasn't allowed from within app management. Had to do it from the store page.Seller has sent multiple emails about my initial two star review, offering me the opportunity to buy completely different models from them at a 10% discount.One of their emails told me I was using the wrong support email, one from Europe. It's the one I got from calling their support line. Maybe train the support personnel with the proper contact information.Yesterday, I was offered a free Hydro 4 SE unit from customer service. I wish these people would take a hint and stop contacting me.Original Review:I did a ton of research and really wanted the Hybrid 4 model, but the corded version got dinged heavily for cord issues. From what I could tell, the 4 SE solved that problem, used an "S pattern" for cleaning and had an app to allow scheduling. In my case, the cord did not tangle, the 4SE did not follow an S pattern and the app turned out to do nothing.Rather than return the robot I spent so much time researching, I called support. Someone answered, which was nice, but they had no answers as to why anything didn't work. They asked me to email support01@poolmatebot.com.I emailed support and got a reply within a day. It was obvious they didn't read my email and asked for serial number, purchase number, and several questions I had already answered. I took the time to reply with the requested details and I never heard back. As I write this, it's been 10 days.I had a corded Dolphin Nautilus CC with ultra fine filters and it did everything. Loved it, but it died. The Hydro 4SE definitely picked up a lot of debris, but it was erratic and incomplete. I had to vacuum up after it. It is quite windy here so that makes it challenging, but my previous bot with an ultra fine filter did great.Hydro 4 SE face incomplete coverage of the floor and was incapable of doing most of my walls. I have a simple rectangular pool, quite small. There is a small 3" ledge around the entire pool perimeter floor and this robot couldn't get over the ledges when set to do walls only so it never climbed the walls. I don't understand this as I have had other robots do the walls without issue.I watched several very convincing videos on this company's products but my experience was very different than the reviewers in the videos, and with support not being able to help, I gave up after nearly three weeks and returned it before the return window closed.Given all of the positive reviews, maybe I just got a lemon?

After getting this pool vacuum, the cleanliness of my above ground pool has gone up several notches! It is so absorbent that it picks up sand, small stones and all kinds of sediment from the bottom of the pool. I was even more pleasantly surprised that it also cleans walls and water lines, and those stains and moss that are usually hard to clean have been pretty much taken care of by it. It's still a highly recommended above ground pool cleaning tool for it's powerful cleaning power and value for money. It saves me a lot of time and effort and keeps the pool clean at all times, great value for money.
