Not a soccer ball and sizing is different this is adult size.**Background:** We are a soccer family, both my kids grew up playing a lot of futsal. In the winter, it’s a better option than boarded soccer fields. It's a great small-sided game that encourages skills and ball control in tight spaces. I also still play competitive Sunday league at 50 and occasionally still play futsal in the winter.Both have played soccer in college, one at the D1 level. Futsal helped them grow a skill set that separated them from the pack of players with the same physical attributes. Small-sided games teach tactical concepts in a chunking form, such as Diamonds and Triangles. That is beyond this review.Bottom line, we have used and own several dozen futsal balls. The quality of balls available in the States is rapidly improving; previously, you had to go to Brazil or Europe to buy a quality futsal ball.Size note: This is not a soccer ball. The ball is made to bounce less than a soccer ball. It is more dense and compact; it hurts more than a soccer ball when someone who knows how to strike a ball nails you. Also, the size of the ball you play with is smaller. In soccer, Size 5 is for adults, Size 4 for ages 12 and under, and Size 3 for ages 8 and under. Futsal is not the same. A Size 4 futsal ball is an adult ball for ages 13 and older, and Size 3 is for ages 8-12. Stick with the recommended size, as it will give your young player the best chance of ball mastery and avoid injury from kicking a ball that is too large and heavy.**Build Quality:** This is a good quality ball, not top-tier. The Penalty or Senda tournament ball is top-tier, but they are also twice as expensive. The ball weighs 401 grams; it's within range but on the lower end, which is perfect for the 13-15 age range.**Function:** The ball feels good, like how a futsal ball should feel. It has a nice thin, soft cover with a grippy texture to help with foot skills. Underneath is a firm, deadened bladder that you expect from a futsal ball. My son and I played with it, and we felt it was a little lighter than we prefer, but it’s a very reasonably high-quality ball. We are both biased toward heavier balls, even soccer balls, but particularly futsal.The bonus is the pump with a gauge. The gauge part is actually really nice. It's a metal tube on the gauge part. Even if the plastic pump breaks (as they all do), you can unscrew and keep the nice metal gauge.This gets 5 stars, as I think it’s a really well-made ball, not the best, but well above average. I like the textured surface, the amount of bounce is just right, and the pump with a nice gauge is a great bonus.

They say, if you really want to train for legs/feet for soccer, it all starts with learning how to juggle, as it not only teaches you how to keep the ball off the ground, but it also teaches you how to get a feel of the ball - for trapping, passing, and dribbling - and it teaches you balance and how to control not only your legs and feet, but your whole body. Most people start before they are five, or around there, since then you are super flexible, and the muscle memory you learn will carry even as you grow up stiffer and less flexible, those skills will always remain with you. Many people who are excellent at juggling, actually start with a smaller ball than the official adult match ball size of 5 - many think size 3 is the best to master the art of juggling. But size 4 is also good, especially if you're already grown up and can't get used to the ball being too small.That's where futsal balls like this one are excellent not just for playing futsal, but to improve your juggling skills, and skills with the ball at your feet. This particular one from Kyaus is very good. I would rate the ball material at a 7 or 8 out of 10, just a notch below the best match balls. The material is thick with good padding and feel, where it's not too plastic-y, and you can still have a feel of the ball when receiving it and passing or shooting it. I also like that it comes in rounded shape, just deflated. Most generic brands nowadays squash the deflated ball in half to save on space/packaging, and money on shipping, which leaves a crease all around the ball which doesn't always end up being temporary. The Kyaus ball comes in a nice box, ready-made for gifting. Inside is also a nice manual hand pump with an analog gauge. The price of $52 puts it in upper half of futsall balls in terms of price and quality, and that's fair.
