Not safe for small dogs, too firm & chewy….would rather purchase and feel safer with small 1/4 “ pieces.

My puppy absolutely loves these. I ordered 3 bags of these so I do not have to keep ordering more. The first bag was perfect. I went on vacation for a week, brought the remaining first bag with us. Got home yesterday, opened the second bag to give her afternoon treat. Majority of them were moldy! Opened the second bag, same thing. Now, nowhere on the bag does it say to refrigerate. The expiration date is listed as 6/26. I missed the return date, so I am going to call the company. They are right here in AL and see if I can get some type of satisfaction. I would only give one star because of the mold, but my pup loves them so much and they are just sweet potato, I gave them three stars. She is allergic to corn, pea, pumpkin, and flaxseed. It is really hard to find food or any treat that do not contain those products.
