Just started a skid steer teardown. Found a hydrostatic drive return line That had worn through.As difficult as it is to work on everything to get the busted line out these are easy to use. All the sizes needed for 1/2" and 3/4" plugs. They seem to stay in place well. Have not had to cut any so far but could see where this would be useful in some instances. Worth every penny to keep moisture and contaminates out of the lines. They will work with some slight positive head pressure to keep the system from draining but depending on your port location you may need a little extra hold, used a bit of wire, for the lower port connected the upper boom cylinder to be safe. Works as described. Good to have if you do any work on your own hydraulics even if its just replacing a single hose.

I"ve been looking for something like this for a long time. Even as a non professional DIYer, there always seems to be hoses and lines that need to be plugged, even if only temporarily to move them from one place to another or to buy some time working on something and preventing a mess. These are very grippy and should hold well. Their grippiness seems to resemble the underside of some of these dashboard mounts for GPSs and cell phones. Cleaning the underside with a good dishwashing liquid restores the tackiness.I have one application working on a contaminated difficult to replace auto AC evaporator that is particularly stubborn to clean. Not something that a lot of time can be dedicated to in one cleaning session and needs to be plugged between cleanings. One of these will plug the flared tube nicely. In this example, the plug might need to be safety wired to drive the vehicle.

I really like these plugs. The sizes of the plugs are diverse in the set. The plugs lock and seal well. The plugs work just as good as any others I have bought from hose part stores.

They work well but I suggest using the smallest one for your hose the largest ones don't seal as tight and with the excess hanging out you risk knocking it out during the repair. I have used this style plug before and in my opinion these are a little harder to work in, hopefully they become a little softer in time.

I needed these so I could work on the car lift I installed back in the fall. I had a huge mess back then and swore I would find a solution to loosing all of my oil before I attempted to work on it again. These plugs were the answer & I couldn't have been happier with them. Saved a lot of oil & absorbent pads as well!

When I can ignore the fact that holding the larger plugs in this kit makes me feel a little uncomfortable then I am very happy with these. They are good at the job they were made to do, they block off the flow of oil or fuel in hydraulic lines or hoses and are easy to remove afterwards.

I've used these in the past and they have been hollow to go over or inside the fitting and plug it during service. These are all solid plugs which work great for plugging inside the fittings during service.They have rounded stepped sizes and are firm enough to seal well when inserted. The material can be easily cut with a utility knife or shear if you need the clearance so you can customize as needed.The variety of sizes work for most connections and great to have on hand to keep cleanup and fluid replacement to a minimum.
