Regarding the other reviews on installation, it should just be:1. Loosen the interior handle from the bottom with a 1/8" hex wrench, then pull it off2. Unscrew the two bolts holding the interior face plate on, then pull that off3. Unscrew the two bolts holding the plate that keeps the actuator in place, then remove the plate and actuatorThe only hard part is getting the long faceplate screws back in during reassembly

This replacement lock actuator works as described for the lock on my patio door. I didn’t find any instructions in the package on how to assemble it. It took me a little longer to get assembled after consulting with some online diagrams on how to put it together.

The replacement door lock actuator functions as expected. Quality feels okay. However, the installation process was confusing and took me a solid hour to figure out that i had to watch video on the website for guidelines – it wasn't as straightforward as I'd hoped. While it works now, it definitely wasn't a quick swap. Clearer instructions to be included would have made a big difference.

The replacement piece work as described. However, it did not comes with any instruction or any reference to check the product page for instruction. It took us an hour just to research how to install the replacement piece.

Those individuals who, like me, have struggled with a door that persistently refuses to latch or lock correctly should certainly take note of this actuator. I believe it is absolutely worth noting. Over the course of the last several months, I had been more irritated by the fact that my Frenchwood door would not secure as firmly as it had in the past. The unpleasant rattling that occurred every time the wind blew was especially aggravating. As soon as I finished the uncomplicated installation, I had the impression that the performance of the door had been greatly enhanced by this new lock actuator. It made a discernible difference in the ease with which the handle could be engaged, removing the feeling of nervousness that I had every time I heard a little squeak or felt the door jiggle. As soon as it was time to install, I felt a sense of relief since the procedure was so easy to understand. I was able to remove the old actuator and install the new one without having to drill any new holes or make any intricate changes to the door frame. This was accomplished despite the fact that I am not a skilled handyman. It was not difficult for me to understand the directions, despite the fact that they were brief. Everything was in perfect alignment with the hardware that I had installed on my Andersen doors, which spared me the trouble of having to go out and purchase extra tools or new screws. Therefore, I have not had a good experience in the past with other door components that just did not fit well, but this actuator genuinely matched up beautifully with the handle arrangement that I already had.

This replacement door lock actuator is high quality and fixed our door in under 5 minutes! The product is just as advertised and for our Andersen door perfectly. I was so glad because replacing the door would have been expensive and this fixed our problem for a great price!
