Setup is simple enough, attach the long pickup tube to the valve and place it in your jug of coolant. Hookup an air hose to the venturi block/valve, snap that onto the main valve unit with the coupler. Find the closest fitting rubber adapter to your filler neck, slip that onto the expanding plug on the main unit, slip that into your filler and tighten with the large thumbwheel. turn on the airflow - open the valve between the main unit and venturi block... when hte guage shows desired vacuum, close the air and open the cooland valve - it will draw coolant in and stop when it's filled. Close the valve and disconnect. Done.

Extremely nice kit in almost-too-small box!The idea behind it is simple enough-once the tool is installed in your radiator neck or coolant bottle.which it is depends on your year/make/model,an air hose is connected and the venturi effect pulls a vacuum on the system.After the vacuum is held for several minutes,another valve is opened and the coolant fills the system thru the coolant suction hose.You'll need to have a sufficient quantity of coolant on hand-if the coolant runs low and air enters the system you have to start over!The good-coolant will fill the system completely without air bubbles.The less than good-pulling a vacuum takes a TREMENDOUS volume of air,I'm talking auto shop size compressor.If you a have a big compressor great-if not (say a 20 gallon compressor) the job can still be done but it'll take longer.If all you have is a 'pancake' compressor I personally wouldn't attempt it.The questionable-if you're just changing coolant once,you probably don't need this tool.It's well built and the price reflects it.That's for you to decidesI'm pretty impressed with this tool,the build quality is first rate.The storage case COULD be a bit bigger.The instructions a plain enough but could be printed quite a bit bigger,but you can find how-to-use videos on line.Those little concerns aside the tool deserves a 10/10.

I didn’t quite understand at first but after watching a couple videos I figured it out and it works as intended. You have to have an air compressor but it keeps air out of your system and saves a lot of bleeding etc later on. It’s a great value for the price. It’s built well and well thought out design. It’s very easy to hook up and use after you understand how it operates.

Overall the kit was what you would expect from a China product. The only plus was the compactness of the case and contents. However the vacuum generator would not produce sufficient vacuum (only16 "HG, even dead headed ) to completely refill cooling system. Also the seller was no help at all and would not respond when notified of the problem. I would not recommend this kit.

This is a big upgrade if you are coming from one of the giant coolant refill kits. Having multiple “universal” adapters saves you a lot of space. Especially when I do work mobile this is super small to just take with me. You do need a larger air compressor in order for this to work. This is the best way to get coolant refilled into you system with minimal mess and no air bubbles.

Unit comes in a nice formed case with a foam fitted liner. The vacuum looks well made, by that I mean it has metal parts where others have plastic. From what I can see it should work just fine. I will be testing it on a 89 F-350 this weekend, hopefully I won't be updating with bad news

Upon opening this item, there was confusion because this coolant vacuum refill kit appears to be an exact replica of the OEMtools product. In fact, the operating instructions calls this item an “OEMtools Airvac Cooling System Refiller.” I own a OEMTOOLS 24444 so I pulled it out for a direct comparison. The visual differences are that the air fittings are more robust for this kit. The valve handles are blue instead of green and the vacuum gauge is a higher quality. The only other visual difference is that the 24444 kit has a rubber protector on the coolant inlet filter, whereas this kit does not. Both kits suffer from the fact that the carrying case is too small for the included hoses and their attachment. I’ve used the 24444 kit several times for coolant refills and I know how well it works. Since this kit improves upon the 24444 hardware, I concluded that it will perform the same. Given the proven performance of the 24444 and the hardware improvements of this kit, this is a good kit.
