5.0 out of 5 stars Good little counter top dishwasher
The media could not be loaded. I received our new Hermitlux counter top dishwasher yesterday evening, a full 4 days sooner than originally anticipated. It was very well boxed and the dishwasher arrived in perfect condition.I knew from reading other reviews that it was important to measure your counter space to make sure this item would fit. I new ahead of time that this wouldn't fit under my cupboards, so I had made space on the counter next to sink to accommodate it, especially the drain hose which is just long enough. I had read other reviews that stated they couldn't get the suction cup on the drain hose to work with their sink. We didn't have that issue and the dishwasher has drained well each of the 3 times we've already used it since receiving it.The directions are very poor, but the unit is pretty straight forward and was easy to set up and to use. I've used it 3 times on the 29 minute cycle only. At the end of each cycle, I took the dishes out of the dishwasher and placed them in the rack to dry.The dishwasher uses about 5 pitchers full of water. I had no issues pouring the water into the water compartment and once the unit is turned on, it does beep when the water compartment is full. The directions don't say this, but it appears to me that the dishwasher cycles 3 times. It drained once about 1/3 through the 29 minute cycle and the water was soapy and close to the temperature at which I used when I poured the water in before starting the cycle. The second drain happened 2/3 of time into the cycle and the water was cleaner and warmer. On the third and final drain, the water was quite hot and clear. The dishwasher does get the dishes very clean and I'm quite happy in that regard. What I'm not happy about is the choice of photo shopped pictures that lead one to believe that this unit is larger than it is. I include one of the sellers own "photos" showing placement of cups, bowls, plates and silver ware that are no where close to being a true representation of what this dishwasher is capable of.I have included my own unaltered pictures that show a true representation of what will fit in this ting. It's ok, but nearly as big as one is lead to believe. The silverware basket is a joke. I had to take the basket top off completely because literally none of my silverware would fit into the tiny holes set up for a single piece of silverware. Taking the top off did allow me to get some silverware in there and it seemed to work ok.The cup rack on top can be pushed up out of the way if not needed. I don't have a single cup that fits that rack. It's so small you might be able to get a couple tiny espresso cups to fit, but a single regular 10 ounce cup, let alone my 14 ounce cups. It works pretty good for holding larger utensils and small baby bottles.Everything came out very clean . Oh, it will only accommodate plates up to 10.5 inches. And those have to be angled slightly before the rack can be pushed in.This unit is very limited as to how many pieces if kitchen ware its going to clean in one cycle. But it's a good stopgap for us until we can get a new full size dishwasher. It's way better than hand washing and I feel the final cycle gets hot enough that the dishes are full rinsed and cleaned. For the price, it's worth it.Edit: I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I've had this dishwasher a full month now and I love it. All the dishes come out so clean and I've learned how to arrange dishes to maximize wash load. It's so easy to use. In a normal day, I wash 2 loads of dishes. For me, that's doable and with how well this little machine cleans, it's worth to me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Every Day Use
Sweep off any solid food like rice, food chunks, etc otherwise you might clog your hose/machine and ruin your dishwasher long term. No need to prewash just get rid of solid food pieces.Only feed normal tap water temperature NOT hot water you can ruin your dishwasher. The machine can heats up the water itself.Standard mode (60 minutes) can wash off dried on hard sauces consistently, cheese graters eith cheese cakes on, etc Put cups and bowls in at an angle for best results. The machine can clean off small items with oil/grease on them during standard cycle. Cleans utensils consistently.Quick wash (30 minutes) does not wash off hard overnight sauces/juice/milk. Does not clean heavy oil/grease or stuck on cheese. Best if used for freshly used utensils/dishes/cups that have not sat around.Havent tried the other modes as there is no need seeing as Standard takes care of everything really well .Strong mode lasts longer, needs slightly more soap, and might do best with heavily soiled dishes, super hard stuck food/cheese, oily/greasy dishes that doesn't come off with Standard mode. The largest size plate you can fit standing up and will wash correctly is 10.25in this machine. Fits a good number of dishes. Dont expect to wash pots and pans in there.Im very pleased with the size, amount of dishes it washes, how well it cleans and how its pretty quiet other than a soft hum and the occasional splash of water. Not disruptive, could probably run while napping nearby and not notice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Finally!!
I have always hated doing dishes and just moved to a place with no dishwasher. My last house had a full size dishwasher and I loved it.In the past I had a bigger countertop dishwasher that hooked up to the sink, it was bigger than this one by about 4-5 inches but would not fit my 10.5 in plates.I am now on load 2 of quick washing dishes I had while waiting for this dishwasher to arrive!I have an RO system that I have to dump the waste water out manually. I try to collect and use the “waste water” for cooking, cleaning, and now I can use it with this dishwasher!!I read other reviews and took some suggestions. I am manually adding my water to the top but I turn it on and select what cycle I will be running. Dishes and soap need to be in the machine before loading the water with the door shut because once it has enough water it will ding at you if you do it this way. Then the machine will start running the cycle you have chosen.I need to order what someone else suggested for hard water. I forgot what it’s called so I have to go back as I am on well water and my bathroom is where my water softener reaches not the kitchen tap.The drain hose is not very long but it does work very well. Easy to attach.I loved a comment someone made here about how it does not pull a lot of power and is good for off grid living. As I am not living off grid that is one of my goals so I am trying to be mindful of what I purchase to be able to take with me whenever I can live off grid. The fact that it doesn’t have to occupy your kitchen faucet is huge! Also that if you’re having drain issues or whatever you can drain this into a bucket while washing dishes and dump where and when you can.Just make sure you’re plugging this into a grounded outlet for better safety. I looked up online which outlet would allow this type of energy/electric draw.Although it will not fit everything in it I used to wash in my full sized dishwasher I can still wash a majority of my dishes in this.My butter knives to not fit in the provided silverware basket. But it’s nice it offers an option to clean silverware in the foldable spot.It was packaged very nicelyBolo had a delay for my delivery which sucked because I started having issues with drains at my house the day after this was supposed to arrive.During my first load of washing a quick cycle I was able to prep more of my RO water for a 3 gallon jug I put it in at home.Clear my counters, put some clean dishes away.I am not using the drying option at the moment but may have to or just wipe out the machine and leave the door cracked open in between uses.I’m just going to take my wet dishes out and put them on a dish strainer to air dry. This way I can get more done in a shorter time frame vs an hour or so drying time added on.My 2nd cycle just finished as I’m typing this out and my first load air drying is basically all dry already all in the matter of 30minWill update more if I have any changes. It’s not super heavy, I was able to carry it safely through the house outside of the box. My old counter top dishwasher was a lot heavier than this.It looks great and shiny! I got the one with no glass on the door. I don’t need to watch my wash cycles. It is not very loud. The sprayers inside are smaller than I expected but seem to work great! The top sprayer in smaller than the bottom one, so they are not the same size. The suction cup seems to be working to keep my drain in place hopefully it does not break off from the hose. The only down side was the blue tape inside to hold everything in for shipping. I had to use a pocket knife to get the connected blue tape off the dish basket.Do as you wish or think on what will help you best for your situation.I’m glad they make something like this and I hope some day soon they can make the bigger portable dishwashers like this with the manually adding water option. That would be a huge game changer to anyone in need but limited options for hook ups and able to wash more at one time.
it was everything i wanted it to be
Works as it should
¡AMO MI LAVAVAJILLAS!

A literal godsend.
The media could not be loaded. Like many others who have bought this, I am a single mother of two who lives in an apartment building with no dishwasher and I happen to HATE doing dishes by hand.I finally caved and save up and bought this countertop dishwasher. I don’t have much counterspace to begin with and it made a few dishes look like ALOT and was constantly overwhelming to the point I’d keep putting it off and affecting my mental health. You definitely can put alot more dishes in this dishwasher than they say, if you’re into playing jenga and getting it just right. My dishes always come out clean and only having to wash bigger things like pots and pans with this doing the rest has saved my sanity. It ships well and is packed well completely surrounded in Styrofoam. The dishwasher itself is taped very secure and all the things like cup, fruit bowl, etc are also secured and not just bouncing around inside. It is VERY easy to set up (not too sure about plumbing it in but just using the tank) I don’t have a lot of experience with appliances and I’m not a fan of instructions and it took me all of maybe 10 minutes to get it out of the box and set up ready to be used. The first few times I used it it did have a bit of a plastic smell but it goes away. The heater that heats the water works extremely well and my dishes always come out hot. I don’t have the option to plumb it in which is why I picked this specific one but the tank works well and takes about 3 pitchers to fill. The drain hose is easy to hook up and very long so it’s nice not having to have it right next to the sink to use. The hose also has a suction cup to keep it in your sink which is an added bonus, but be cautious of just how much pressure it has draining water and make sure it’s secure unless you enjoy having water all over your kitchen. Another added bonus is the clear glass window keeps kids entertained watching the dishes being washed 😂 it is decently quiet for a countertop dishwasher but don’t expect to not hear it, you definitely can hear how much pressure it cleans with.Overall it is definitely worth the money.

it was everything i wanted it to be
Works as it should
¡AMO MI LAVAVAJILLAS!
