Then I made scrambled eggs & bacon & again I was not disappointed. The taste was almost like a regular egg & to mix was easy but you must follow the directions so egg mixture will not be runny or watery. A Great Value for your money.

Although I keep powdered milk on hand, I’ve never tried powdered eggs. With the price of eggs off the rails, I decided to give the powdered version a whirl. They’re very easy to use, with the directions clearly printed on the outside of the bag. Since I was lusting after an omelet, that’s what I made. Maybe my palate isn’t as sophisticated as others, but I didn’t notice the difference between an omelet made with fresh vs. powdered eggs. Don’t know how these powdered eggs would work in a cake or muffins, but they made an okay omelet. Recommended.

I can’t find liquid eggs in any of the grocery stores in my area right now (probably because of the bird flu), so I bought this egg powder for scrambled eggs. I mixed half water and half milk with the powder, added colby jack cheese, salt, pepper, and chives and fried the mixture in butter. It was surprisingly good. Would I have preferred EggBeaters? Yes, but given the unavailability of pasteurized eggs, I’m very happy with this.

Work very well as an ingredient in like cooking batter or other wet recipes. However on its own I did not like these. I guess in a pinch these would work for scrambled eggs, like if you're camping or something where you need to cut weight. But the main use for these is as an ingredient in recipes.

I tried two seperate tines to make scrambled eggs with this product and they thurned into a transparent jelly like substance. I was thorough with the instructions. Did i get a bad batch?

This was like eggs in the way that La Croix is like fruit juice. There’s a hint of the right flavor there, but not much, and the texture is all bubbly and different.Two meals I tried to use these for on our camping trip were complete flops: egg skillet/omelette and eggs for fried rice. I don’t know if the presence of fats (bacon grease, canola oil) in both of those ruined the chemistry of it, but both times I just had a pan of runny liquid until I had bubbly liquid, and then eventually a spoonful of mysterious brown goo. Never anything like I think of eggs as. In the photo it looks kind of like just-cracked eggs, but nothing ever solidified from there. We salvaged one meal by wrapping it in tortillas and the other by adding a lot of rice, but I wouldn’t do it again.It worked in pancake mix though.
