An author who knows how to play AND teach.
Oh my goodness. What an incredible find.I’m around 10kyu. I’ve struggled with a lot of books, trying to extract wisdom where I can from text that’s often dense, dry and poorly explained. This book is a breath of fresh air.It is written clearly, with logical explanations and diagrams. The author is incredibly qualified, but is also a fantastic teacher. She breaks down problems into digestible chunks and reinforces them with frequent QR codes to excellent supporting videos for every section. This is the first Go book where my daughter has leaned over my shoulder and tried to answer problems with me.I’m genuinely a little speechless - this is exactly the content we need if we want to spread the love of this great game. If you buy it and enjoy it as I did, please come and support it with a review of your own.

Un libro fondamentale, i cui meriti vanno al di là dell’argomento che tratta. Attraverso l’esame delle classiche forme d’angolo, il lettore viene avvicinato a concetti quali i punti vitali, l’ordine con cui giocare le mosse d’attacco e le possibili sequenze in ko.Certo, non è un libro facilissimo, ma le parti più semplici sono accessibili anche a un 15kyu, mentre quelle più complesse possono risultare interessanti anche per un giocatore dan.Insomma, si tratta di un libro “per la vita.” In un primo tempo vi aiuterà a crescere e, quando sarete diventati forti, tornerete comunque sulle sue pagine a ripassare certi concetti.
A book worth mastering.
Yes, follow Young Sun Yoon’s method and you will reach a better understanding of Baduk.The book covers corner shape, but it teach much more than that, it show how to study.Just do the variations each time to the end. It may take effort, but it really help your pattern recognition and reading skill.I am still far from mastering it, but I can feel progress with every page.This book pair well with AwesomeBaduk Challenge if you want to go deeper, it is the same thoughtful approach.
Interesting step by step coverage of corner positions
Well designed and written book that covers not only the right move but also the variations that make it the right move.The links to the connected you tube lessons enhance and expand and though I will likely have to revisit to truly understand it has already taught me some useful defensive techniques.Dan players will know this already but for the ddk who wants more explanation ot the sdk looking to solidify their game this book is a little gem. Recommend

very good graphics and printing, also uses the various platforms to share (and also interact with the authors) someone has given excellent advice in this sense, I hope there are other implementations of this type..grafica e stampa molto buone, sfrutta anche le varie piattaforme per condividere (ed anche interagire con gli autori) qualcuno ha dato in questo senso ottimi consigli spero ci siano altre implementazioni di questo tipo..
