Description:
A culture-clash comedy - with kung fu! A thoroughly Americanised young woman (Kara Hui, The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter) returns to Hong Kong to visit the martial arts school founded by her father and shakes it up with some trendy new ideas. But not everyone is keen on her innovations, a lesson she'll have to learn the hard way. Directed by and starring the great Lau Kar-leung (The Shadow Boxing), The Lady is the Boss blends fun and fighting as only he could - and those fights are some of the very best of his illustrious career. 88 Films are delighted to present the UK Blu-ray premier of an action classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killer Kung-Fu on BMX Bicycles!
Martial Arts meets Disco in this action packed classic starring the incredible Liu Chia-Liang and the perky knock-out queen, Kara Hui (Ying-Hung). A slow boil up to wicked fast choreography that features wild and deadly stunts galore. Funny and loaded with stars -even a few of the pre-Venom Mob.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's cool to see the stars and stuntmen from period era ...
A bit slow in the beginning however the payoff comes later. It's cool to see the stars and stuntmen from period era classic martial art films in "modern" clothing. Part comedy and part action, a good homage to kung fu flicks from director/actor Lau Kar-leung.

Great ending, you know who's who already and what they can do so just enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Female Power, Great Female Fight Scenes, Excellent Kung-Fu Choreography
Language in Cantonese with automatic English subtitles. For a kung-fu movie, this is well performed. Basically, it's about female power. A kung-fu school in Hong Kong is moved to a new location with only but five students and a few masters. The school is operated by a grand master who is located in the United States, and he is to appear for the grand opening. However, the grand master, who is well respected, falls sick and sends his daughter to represent him. The daughter is westernized and is into aerobics, disco (this movie is late 1970s), fashion, change, new ideas, marketing, etc. She is not into the old ways and traditions, so she tried to add her two cents. The main master of the school is not fond of her ideas, so he leaves the school to her. The five students come to enjoy her presence, but wants the old master back. During their time of trying to market the school to new students, they somehow attracted the attention of night club call-girls and patron clubbers. Soon, the school gets into a dispute with the club owner and managers. Fights ensue and the main master returns to save them. Decent story and acting was pretty good. Kung-fu choreography was excellent.
Great movie... terrible release

Is pathetic
