This was easy to use and gave me very good insights. I’m a pretty healthy person but I have some autoimmune issues. The results gave me two areas to improve and even showed how the results correlate to my health issues. There is a great summary with very actionable advice. 🧬Tiny Health Adult Gut Test Kit 4.4✰I encountered a few challenges with the initial sample collection process. Due to my stool weight, the adhesive on the sampling sheet failed on one side and unfortunately fell into the toilet, making it unusable. Additionally, my stool surface was quite smooth, which made it difficult to collect the sample properly—I ended up overloading it. I was disappointed to be charged an additional $10 for a replacement kit, and the delay cost me extra one week.If you're planning to use this test, I recommend collecting your stool sample using toilet paper first to avoid similar issues. Perhaps they can place an extra swab instead of the redundant sampling sheet.That said, the test results arrived in about three weeks and were incredibly insightful—far beyond what I had received from traditional medical consultations. The report identified a few disruptive bacteria that had likely been contributing to my bloating and weight issues for years. It also provided information on whether I had sufficient levels of bacteria linked to neurotransmitters like serotonin, melatonin, and GABA for insomnia issue.Tiny Health adult test kit shows much more results compared to other test kit with various bacteria, fungus, virus, parasites, & archaea. What impressed me most was the inclusion of biomarkers related to various types of cancer, along with personalized dietary recommendations aimed at promoting long-term health. One particularly rewarding discovery was the presence of odoribacter, a bacterium commonly found in centenarians.Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the insights I gained were well worth it. I wish I could see my results. I sent my sample in more than six months ago and I have heard nothing at all. If there was a problem with my sample you'd think they would have called or emailed.EDIT: I contacted the company and they are sending a new test kit. I will update this review when I receive my results.

I chose to order this gut health test kit out of curiosity, not because I have any specific gut health complaints. The kit provided clear instructions and was simple to use. I received it within a couple days of ordering, however I waited for a few weeks to complete the test. This was due to being off my immune suppressant medication in order to get a vaccine. I wanted to wait until I had been back on that medication for a couple weeks to get the clearest picture of my typical gut health. Everything needed to collect a sample was included and it was easy- not as gross as I had envisioned. It did take over two weeks from the time that I sent in the completed kit until I received an email stating that my kit had been received. In the meantime, I had answered a bunch of health surveys on the Tiny Health website.The communication from Tiny Health was thorough and consistent. They said it would take 3-4 weeks to process my kit but my results actually took 10 days from when that email arrived. I found the information in my results to be quite interesting. As stated, I regularly take immune suppressants for an auto immune condition. I have wondered if poor gut health was contributing to the joint pain and chronic inflammation that I experience. My results score was 74, with indications of a couple beneficial microbes that need to be boosted and a couple disruptive microbes that should be targeted before they become a problem. On the whole, however, I feel that this was confirmation that my dietary changes over the past 4 years have been on the right track... aiming for more fiber and protein, trying to eat 25 different vegetables/fruits/nuts each week, and taking specific supplements to help address deficiencies that I know I am prone to such as vitamin D3, omega 3 fatty acids, etc. My plan of action includes suggestions to encourage the beneficial strains I'm short on: supplement with a spore probiotic containing Bacillus, increase the variety in my fruit and vegetable choices, eat more polyphenol-rich foods, stay physically active. It also includes two things to target the undesirables- consuming more spices (there is a list available to see which spices affect which microbes) and consider oil of oregano to crowd out the unfriendly bacteria. These all seem to be common sense items that shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Since my results didn't indicate anything too drastic, I doubt that I will re-test unless I begin to experience gut-specific problems in the future. I do think that for anyone who has chronic stomach issues, the information provided could be extremely valuable.
