I've used plastic cutting boards for years and appreciated being able to toss them in the dishwasher without worry. However, recent concerns about plastics prompted me to switch to a different material. Since I already separate boards for meat and vegetables, I figured hand-washing my veggie board would be manageable.This board is a good size (17" x 11") for my needs. The handles on each side make it easy to carry, and it's light enough to lift and wash comfortably. One smart design feature is its ability to stand on its edge—something I initially thought was gimmicky. But after using and washing it, I appreciated how it helped the board dry faster and stay out of the way. Good idea!That said, there are a couple of downsides that keep me from giving it five stars. First, it lacks non-slip feet on the bottom, so it slides around a lot during use. I tried placing a dish towel underneath, but it still moved—perhaps I should’ve dampened the towel first? The issue is probably worsened by how lightweight the board is.Second—and this may sound odd to some—the board is loud. Cutting on it produces a sharp, resonant "clack-clack" sound that's quite noticeable, especially if you're used to plastic boards. It was irritating enough to be a drawback for me. I suspect that adding feet might make it even louder, like a sounding board.I can’t help but wonder if a thicker version (maybe three times as thick) would solve both issues: reduce sliding and muffle the sound. Overall, it’s a good board, but maybe not my final solution.

This cutting board is perfect. I have to say that I was using plastic until I knew better. It has a lip to catch spills. It's great.

This is a WORKHORSE cutting board--the largest I own both in terms of length and width. This will cut everything and in large amounts, if needed. It's lightweight as natural cutting boards go, but still very durable. I understand that we are using bamboo boards now because it's a renewable resource that grows much faster than hardwoods so it's a good substitute. I'd like the packaging to state how this bamboo cutting board is made: is the surface laminated? are the binders food safe? These are details I also take into account with hardwoods when the board is not a single slab of wood. That said, I love the design of this cutting board. The liquid well is nice and the kickstand is genius with 3 bumpers sitting on the standing edge. This board is meant to be stored upright, vertically, and fits under my cupboards in this position, no problem. I'll be storing this board horizontally, however, without the kickstand, but I like this creative detail.

This is a quality bamboo cutting board. Given what we now know about micro-plastics, it isn't a great idea to use plastic as a cutting board material unless you are OK with ingesting microscopic plastic shavings. Metal cutting boards are terrible, there is nothing less desirable than the scraping of a blade on a metal surface, its akin to fingernails on a chalkboard.Bamboo is a perfect material to use, natural, fast-growing and eminently renewable. In addition, it is plenty dense and hard enough to provide a great cutting surface without having to worry about poisoning yourself slowly.What sets this cutting board apart from competition is the genius addition of a small section that can be turned so that the board can stand vertically to dry, or just to take up less space on the countertop. Great idea!There is a channel routed into the top, which follows the perimeter which should capture any juices resulting from your cutting.The only drawback to this cutting board is that it is a little thin for my liking, and the hinge that allows the board to stand doesn't seem like the most robust construction.OVERALL: APROS:+ Natural bamboo (no plastic)+ Can stand on its own to dry, or for storage+ Hard and denseCONS:- A little thinner than most cutting boards

A bamboo cutting board at a great price! it's nice and flat against my counter and is a pretty good size. The grooves around the edges are handy for catching juice if you're cutting fruits like watermelons. It's lightweight and I can store it easily. Overall, I would recommend this product

It arrived broken on the swivel which tells me it would've broken eventually with enough pressure on that screw... splinters also fell out as I unwrapped it. Quality did not feel good.
