Wow, never thought I would get back into hula hoop. This is a great way to help get in shape. This is very easy to assembly and very easy to use. It is built very well and functions great with the weighted ball that helps with balance. It is not noisy and is very comfortable to use.

I have a strange talent - I can hula hoop extremely well. I once tied for first in a hula hoop competition and they only stopped it because they realized both of us could go basically forever and everyone got bored with waiting for a winner. :PSo I thought, "hey this might be a cool thing to try." But apparently I'm too good at hula hooping, because this thing gave me zero workout. I had to deliberately try to hoop wrong just to feel any type of burn, but even then, I felt almost nothing. The instructions say do just 5 minutes to start and work your way up to 30+. But the first day I did 45 minutes straight and felt absolutely nothing whatsoever. I guess I've mastered the art of momentum and balance?Anyway, this did not work for me at *all*. :(Giving it 3 stars because it was made well and maybe others can benefit from it, but if you're already good at hula hooping, you likely won't feel any burn or difference.
