I ordered this microphone to record interviews on an iPhone 16 (using 24 fps 4K video) in a state fair environment, both indoors and outdoors, where I knew there would be a high volume of background noise to overcome. I know nothing about audio or mics, and was attracted by the simplicity of using this mic with a newer iPhone. I also knew a handheld mic would be far easier to use than a lapel mic (one interview had three people together and they were able to simply pass the mic to each other).I’m very pleased with how easy it is to set up and use, and how effectively the mic restricted unwanted background noise. All interviewees were instructed to hold the mic themselves, about ten inches below their mouth. When the (very loud) drums played intermittently during one interview, everyone thought it would have to be recorded again. While it was true the drums sound faintly in the background, the voice was very clear over them and no re-recording was needed. Another interviewee had such a soft voice that I couldn’t understand a word she said while only six feet away because of ambient crowd noise, and I was delighted by how strong and confident her voice came across using this microphone. The video would have been unacceptable without a mic.I have confidence the limited audio editing iMovie provides will be sufficient to produce a professional-sounding result because this mic worked so well. Highly recommended if you want professional sounding results without having to become an audio pro.

The microphone is great crisp and clear Sound and works within 80 feet away great for recording sound birds chirping and other sound audio needs great for interviews and just plain home videos would recommend your friend great product.

I bought this item needing to use it for an interview but the item was delivered late. Curious to see if it even works, I opened it and followed the poorly written instructions that did not work. "It's useless" I thought and initially gave it a one star. There needs to be a video to show to make it work with an android phone. The microphone itself looks professional but it needs to work was my thought. It's a toy was my other thought or I got a defective item. But several YouTube videos later, I decided to try to just test it by recording a video on my phone with the receiver plugged into my phone and voilla it worked!Please make it known that it's as simple as plugging the receiver into your phone & begin recording! I'm happy with the sound and quality.

Utter trash. I don't know how people say this is a decent mic; sound quality on the computer was too low, even on high gain, and then on top of that, despite being assured it would work with a lightning adapter, it would not pair. I was really hoping this would work in time for my next video product.

I occasionally shoot interviews for a news website, and have long used products from Rode or other makers with my camera and/or my iPhone. But, when used with an iPhone, those things tend to also require you to use cages or other supports so you can attach the receiver unit for use with the phone, and then there's pairing and, sometimes, a battle to get my video app to see the thing.Not with this Comica. I've never seen any audio device this super-simple before. Charge the mic, go to your shoot, pull the USB-C dongle from it's storage location on the bottom of the microphone and plug it into your phone. Open your app and record. In more than a dozen uses, it's not failed yet. It's worked with the Apple Photos app, with Filmic Pro, Final Cut Camera, Voice Record, etc. I didn't even need to select a microphone. It just worked.Battery life on the mic seems sufficient for most uses. One one recent night, we did several interviews, each several minutes in length, and there was plenty left for the next couple of projects. I can't tell you when the battery runs out, because it hasn't run out on me yet (admittedly, I make sure it's charged before I go out).It looks great. I like that it's got its own integrated microphone flag, allowing you to add your own branding for a polised professional look.If it's got any one weakness, it's that I'd like some options for a little more gain. It's nice that it has some noise reduction settings, but I'd like just a little more volume in the recording without having to bump it up in post.All in all, I love it, and look forward to many successful future recordings.

The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty impressive handheld mic; sound wise and construction build. This is a complete kit, you get the microphone, wind screen, mic flag, charging cable, and operating instructions.The mic itself has a durable metal body, the windscreen is foam and protected by a plastic cage around it, two buttons; one for power and the other for gain and denoise. Pairing it with my phone was easy and quick, operating it is simple as well, power it on and the use the gain button to choose between 3 levels and hold in to turn denoise on.I've used this on a few different shoots in different environments and I had no problem getting clean crisp sound from it. Overall I'm happy with this mic and can definitely recommend it, lightweight, solid body, and good performance.
