The PXN P5 has almost everything you'd want in a "Pro" controller, 1. 4 Back Buttons/paddles! (although not in the best ergonomic layout, like the Vader 4 Pro hard to reach inner M3 and M4) 2. 1,000 Hz Poll rate (WIRED ONLY, sadly not in 2.4g Dongle as Advertised!) 3. Fast New "Conductive" joysticks? (Not TMR fast, but very similar in sensitivity, better than standard Halls sticks). 4. Has Gyro (BUT Only in Switch mode! Useless for me and poll rate is slow for Switch, 125hz standard. 👉(*PXN PLEASE MAKE GYRO in ALL MODES: Xinput, Dinput, and DS4 for true "Gyro"). 5. Has Nexus Controller App (*Also works with KeyLinker app) for more Advanced Customization of remap buttons, deadzones, joystick curves with lots of presets, even can save or download multiple Profiles...BUT alas NO Gyro settings in app?! *A huge no for Gyro users). 6. Ergonomics and Quality are Great! Nice comfort and feel, doesnt feel cheap or too lightweight. Nice fine textured grip on back, not rough like some that collect dead skin, gunk. 7. Multi-platform Wired, Dongle and BT is near standard with these 3rd party controllers, but the BT on this is kinda slow, but most are, the real issue was in "Pro Controller" Switch mode it had some drift and even then got NO Gyro in gameplay on Fortnite and COD which both support Gyro natively. 👉*Another thing I wish PXN and other companies would make Xinput for Android more available, as being forced in Dinput mode via wired outputs poll rate of only 250hz max, instead of 1000hz! The stability can be very low too at 79% (*see pic).So in closing, I had really high hopes for this to be a HQ BUDGET Gyro Pro controller with 4 back buttons, BUT the lack of 1khz Poll rate in the 2.4 Dongle (as advertised!) AND NO Gyro IN Android esp, Xinput, Dinput, nor DS4 mode the BEST mode, was the dealbreaker for me, because some of that can be found in other controllers of similar price (*see my reviews). Overall its still a Great Value, 3.5 stars if you dont need those features, but for me its a must. This is a budget WANNABE Vader 4 but not, hence the much cheaper price. I'd rather get the PXN P5 8K, for just a bit more, still I'm sure the Gyro has the same issues, with the same app.

I've taken some time using this controller to better judge how it feels. I've played several different games with this controller, from roguelikes and RPGs to First person games. I would first off like to mention that the customization on this controller is pretty top tier. From trigger depth to macros and back buttons, there is a lot you can do with this controller, and all on board for the most part. Hall effect triggers and joysticks are a nice plus, especially at this price point. I'm going to have to use this more, but I have been using it a lot more than I use my official Xbox controller. All in all, I do recommend trying this controller. The price point is great for the features you get.

I've been a gamer for a very very long time. My "primary" controller is an XBox Elite controller. I've been using these for several years now so I think I'm pretty experienced with "high quality", expensive controllers. Enter the PXN P5. Being mostly experienced with the Elite controller, it's difficult not to compare the two, even when you consider that the Elite controller costs about $100 more. That said, for around $30 you get a very capable controller with as many feature, if not more, than the Elite controller. Out of the box the controller is much lighter and feels cheaper than an Elite controller but, again, at $30+ this can easily be overlooked. What it lacks in "feel" it makes up for in usability and customization. The controller has paddles on the back of the controller which can be mapped to standard buttons or programmed to use macros. The latter is a feature that not even the Elite controller supports. There are a couple of things that I wasn't much of a fan of. First, the paddle buttons on the back are a little cumbersome to use. I feel like I have to curl my fingers a little more than my elite controller to effectively press them. Second, I had issues with bluetooth pairing. The directions say to press the button until the bluetooth light flashes, which I did, but it was not recognized by either my laptop nor my phone at first. I realized that you have to continue holding the pairing button until the pairing light flashes quickly. This was not documented in the instructions. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative the the high end controllers out there. This one is probably about the best you will get under the $50 mark hands down.
