Great Communication and Sound
Being a long time owner of the Sena SMH5, I decided to give the 60S a try. Great battery life, comparable sound quality, and mesh system communication is incredible. A great buy.
Great Product
High Quality Sound
Two devices dead on arrival - batch manufacturing issue? Bad bad support
I had two devices arrive defective, unable to charge. Clearly there is a bad batch and I do not recommend buying the 60s until Sena fixes this. Two devices, both broken.I am a longtime Sena SLR (=20S) user, mostly frustrated by the poor quality of the connection. The premise of 60S , getting two helmet kits + Wave technology, gave me hope that Sena is on the right path, but the hope was dashed immediately. Not only are the devices defective, during my conversations with Sena I also learned that the device should not be on power more than 2-3h as it would deplete the charge and battery go bad (!?). No overcharge protection on a new device in 2025? Is that true or is the tech just clueless?Speaking of support techs, it has to be addressed. While it is relatively easy to get someone on line, the person you get is going to absolutely clueless, won't know what they are talking about, won't care about the product, and best of all, won't hang up the phone so you can get to the survey part. The second tech I spoke (remember, two broken devices) would not hang up, clearly knowing she is going to get a bad review. We talked about it! In the end we were on the phone both quiet for 15 minutes, thinking she could outlast me. Alas, I was just working away and finally she hung up - wow!
Worth every penny!
Worth every penny! I have been on many rides with no issues. Easy setup and great battery life. We just completed an 18 hour ride without the need to charge.
Pros and cons
It sounds awesome, easy to take on and off base to charge, flashlight works, bad- it disconnects from bluetooth i-phone randomly about once every hour.
Very good performance......
Very happy with the way these perform. Battery life and audio quality are excellent; bike-to-bike range is very good; tolerates the various bluetooth profiles my Gold Wing utilizes; Mesh mode works well. Be sure to update the SW as soon as possible. Now if Sena and Cardo would work out a deal that will make the two brands work with each other......
