I'm using these wide-mouth jars in different areas of my home. Since they came in a pack of two, I'm using one in the pantry to hold small drink packets - you know, the ones that come in boxes that seem to accumulate everywhere and take up tons of space! I empty the boxes into one of these jars for easy access. I'm using the other jar in my craft area for storing odds and ends that otherwise would end up EVERYWHERE. Right now it's holding safety pins, bobbins, thread, buttons, etc. They're high-quality plastic and hold TONS of stuff. I really like them!

The jars are airtight. I like that they are plastic instead of glass because I’m a bit clumsy and might accidentally break them. For plastic, no matter how many times I drop it, it’s less dangerous than glass. It was easy to open and close. I can store lots of dried herbs in it. The wide mouth makes it easy for me when I’m scooping out herbs to cook. There was no toxic smell. The plastic jar is clear, and I can see the contents clearly. It is a useful jar in the kitchen. No complaints so far.

These Restaurantware Met Lux 24 Ounce Mason Jars are really not Mason Jars, per se. They are simply wide mouth plastic jars with air tight top flip cap having a rubber seal and secure snap fit closure. The plastic is BPA free. It’s intended purpose is for dry storage of dry pantry items. I use them to store nuts in my pantry. There is no mention of being dishwasher safe, so I handwashed them. The lids are not intended to come off, but they can be disassembled if you want to go through the trouble of doing so. They work well for me.Here is the review ranking basis that I have adopted:⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

These containers are a great fit in my cabinet where I keep spices. I get small pouches of chili powders from New Mexico and keep them in these so they last longer, and the strong smoky smell doesn't invade the rest of the spices. They are well made and the lids work well. The plastic seems strong enough to withstand a minor drop, but a major one might shatter it. The lid design is typical of this sort of container. No re-invention of an already good thing. The seal is a quality rubber ring that holds up to a periodic run through the dishwasher. The value is good at the price.I still love my glass containers, but these are working well for my needs. I don't think these would be ideal if I just put the chili powder directly in the canister because the plastic seems like the sort that would absorb the oils and stain it (and perhaps the flavor/spiciness?). I recommend, but perhaps not for extreme uses.

I'm packing out some flour and some sugar for our annual beach week at a rental in a few weeks. Last year I dragged the actual bags with me and that was a big pain. This year I'm coming prepared with sealed containers. These storage jars are clear so it's easy to see the contents, and the tops have a genuine rubber seal. They'll be just enough for us to get through the week. Also would be perfect for camping or RV travel.

Restaurantware-Met Lux 29 Ounce Hinged Food Storage Jars,I doubt that these thin plastic storage are 'restaurant' quality. I was disappointed in their quality.
