Works perfect. Love 8bitdo and will continue to be a long term user. Controllers feel great for cheap. This one easily connected to the switch. I use them for PC so the controller felt natural as the PC controllers are shaped the same and have the same feel.
5.0 out of 5 stars MANUAL FIRMWARE UPDATE REQUIRED FOR SWITCH 2
This controller is awesome, especially for the price. I think I would rather buy two of these controllers then one Official Pro Controller.I bought this specifically for the Switch 2 since the Switch 2 Pro Controller is so pricey and hard to even get. I had previously bought a 8bitdo controller for my PC and have had nothing but good experiences with it so I bought this for the Switch 2. I love the $29 dollar price tag.I was worried when I first got the controller however, because the controller would not pair with the Switch 2. I tried pairing wirelessly and using a wire connected to the Switch 2. Neither would pair. Turns out the controller needs a Firmware updated to be able to pair with the Switch 2. It would pair with my Switch 1, just not Switch 2.The Firmware was pretty easy to install, however finding the right software and Firmware package was not he easiest. The Firmware that I installed was also a beta Firmware and not even officially released. As a software engineer, this was not a big deal for me but I could see of lot of typical consumers buy this controller for Switch 2 and send it back thinking it is defective.Other then the Firmware issue, the controller has worked flawlessly and I love it.

Overall, the controller offers great quality for the price. The build doesn’t feel as premium as some higher-end models, and you can tell it’s a bit more budget-friendly, but it still holds up really well where it matters. The battery life is excellent and lasts a long time, so you won’t need to charge it constantly. The Hall effect sticks are also a big plus — they feel smooth, accurate, and really satisfying to use. I compared it to my Ultimate Bluetooth Controller, and while the build quality isn’t exactly the same, this one still feels surprisingly good for what it costs. If you’re looking for a versatile and affordable controller, this is definitely one of the best options out there.

The control is easy to set up and once you have it working it feels of very good quality. Problem is every time I turn on the console, the controller does not immediately connect and I have to first use the USB cable included and once it's paired, I can use it in Bluetooth mode. Very minor inconvenience for me but have it in mind!

Does not work on Switch 2. Bought this controller in anticipation for Switch 2 since Switch 1 controllers are also compatible with the new system. However, this controller connects to the switch but doesn't register any button inputs. The Switch 2 doesn't recognize the controller at all even though it is connected.This is a problem affecting all these 8bitdo controllers on Switch 2. 8Bitdo obviously needs a firmware update for Switch 2 and when they do that, I will update this review to reflect that. But for now, this controller is NOT COMPATIBLE with Switch 2.

Working very well, has gyro controllers and works with switch 2 and a firmware update from 8bitdo but won’t turn on the switch 2 only turns on switch 1 with the home button.

Almost every Switch controller I’ve gotten has fallen victim to stick drift over time and I was beyond sick of how much money I was wasting on controllers when I’m a casual player at best and never had to deal with this on any generation of consoles prior to this. It was unheard of for even my cheap controllers to fail before. I have one 8BitDo controller still kicking so I wanted to invest in another, this time wondering if they had any with Hall effect, a technology touted as the solution to stick drift. While I haven’t had it long enough to verify the long term, I will say, I love that it is light, ergonomic and for the price, very worth it if the Hall Effect feature is what it claims to be. Connecting was super easy; first time use, I turned on my Switch (we have three other Switches in this house so I didn’t want to risk pairing to someone else’s on accident) and pressed the ‘pixel heart’ home button and I was good to go. I love that the indicator lights are under the bottom lip so they’re not shining in your face at night or low light. I played for hours today to give it a good test run and so far, so good. The buttons don’t feel as slick and quiet as pricier controllers, but the stick textures are perfect. I haven’t messed with the additional buttons or programming but there are plenty extras for those that do. I like the location of them; not easy to press unintentionally like some configurations. Overall, it just confirms why I bought from them a second time.

I love this company's controllers and this is my 3rd controller from them. The feel and design is an improvement from the Ultimate 1; with a smoother grip texture, with longer L&R buttons. The digital triggers are more responsive, and I have not yet played a game that needed analog. I do not need another multi-platform controller, so I bought this for its features at a great price.

ch habe mir den AKNES 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller für meine Switch geholt, und ich habe das Gefühl, ein Level im Gaming erreicht zu haben, von dem ich nie wusste, dass er existiert! Dieser Controller hat mehr Funktionen als mein Laptop und besseres „Rumble“ als einige Actionfilme!Der Hall-Effekt-Joystick ist wie ein feiner Wein für meine Finger – glatt, präzise und gibt mir das Gefühl, ich könnte sogar gegen ein paar Mega-Monster antreten! Die nicht-linearen Trigger ermöglichen es mir, mit Leichtigkeit zwischen Rennen und Gehen zu wechseln. Es ist fast so, als würde ich die Macht über den Bildschirm haben! 🎮💥Egal, ob ich Mario herausfordere oder einfach nur einer virtuellen Welt beim Blühen zuschaue, ich weiß, dass ich die Kontrolle über das Geschehen habe. Braucht man mehr? Ich habe beschlossen, mein Essverhalten nun auch online zu besiegen. 5 von 5 „Ich bin der Meister“-Sterne!
Broken after 2 months - but luckily able to fix it
This is my second 8bitdo controller that has died within 3 months and can’t be recharged. 2/2 failures now. It was great when it worked, but sucks that the battery dies and can’t be recharged if left unused for a few weeks. Now’s it’s broken and no warranty or way to fix or replace. Almost Wasted $50 twice.Revised: there is a way to reset the controller so charging works again. You have to hold all 3 - left and right top triggers plus the home button. After that, the remote will charge again. Otherwise, it was not charging at all, like a dud. Too bad this tip was not in the instructions or on the support website. I found this tip randomly on the user forums. Please update your user documents!
