This DVD player was exactly what we needed for a small space. It’s compact, simple to set up, and comes with all the necessary connections (HDMI and audio/video cables included). The setup was true plug-and-play, and we were watching a movie the same day it arrived.The value is outstanding—affordable yet delivering excellent quality. The picture is sharp and clear with no freezes or glitches. If you need a reliable, space-saving DVD player, this one is a perfect choice!

The media could not be loaded. Nice light weight dvd player. Hooks up easily and easy to use. Remote has great features so all you need is that one remote to control volume, subtitle, etc. The quality is just as good as my more expensive one. It only plays dvd’s not blue rays but that fine most of my dvd are not blue ray. It is a good one to travel with because of its size and light weight. Comes with everything you need. Had no issues with freezing. Good for the price.

If memory serves me correct, my first DVD player cost around $200; it lasted for over 15 years and had all of the features that I came to expect with any future DVD players I have purchased. However, after acquiring my first DVD player, any and all DVD players I purchased were obviously cheaper in price with lackluster quality and longevity--with inconsistent features. That established, I really love this Gokuid DVD player. After repeatedly being disappointed with other DVD players from other companies--trust me, I've gone through a plethora of brands!--I finally discovered a contemporaneous brand that is consistently a quality product at a reasonable price that's reminiscent of that aforementioned $200 unit--with all the features that I've missed. In fact, I'm slowly replacing all of the older DVD players in my house with this brand.The Gokuid DVD player loads DVDs extremely fast, the playback is smooth, the remote is simple to use and the features are easy to navigate. It even loads and plays a few scratched discs that other players won't play and/or lock up while playing. The unit is also small and compact--about half the size of the other older model (and semi-functional) DVD players that I currently have. And appearance wise, it's very sleek (see photo).This player also has "resume play" which I guess is relatively common ... but unlike other players where the memory ends when you eject the disc, with this unit, you can eject the disc and then play it a day or so later (even if you've watched other DVDs in the interim), the player remembers and loads the DVD precisely where you left off--which is a really cool feature that I really enjoy.I also don't normally watch videos from a USB, but the USB menu is also easy to navigate and playback is superlative (even though I wish the USB feature supported MP4 files--which is surprising considering that MP4 is pretty much the most common video file today).And it's also nice to finally have a Region Free unit so I can play all of the British comedies and UK exclusive DVD sets that I purchased over the years--without having to get online and find the codes and go through the laborious process of hoping to be able to switch my Region One players to Region Free.

A great find! This DVD player is exactly what we were looking for. We needed a compact DVD player for our upstairs living room since we had limited space next to the TV. We ordered this one, set it up, and it's perfect! The player was packaged carefully and had all the connections we needed (HDMI + audio/video cables). Set up was easy... just plug and play! We enjoyed a movie night as soon as it arrived. Additionally, the value of the product was great... not expensive like other players, and really high quality output. The DVD player had no freezes, and was crystal clear! Look no further than this player to meet all your needs!

nice compact dvd player.i tried it and it works well and is quiet in operation.I tried one region 2 dvd and it played great with very good picture.on the negative,they ask you to reister it for 2 year protection but sent no card i guess you have to scan codes which i don't know how to do and no information on where to register it.Also i didn't like the plug which is a computer plug instead of a regular electrical plug ,but they did send an adaptor

My son is so happy with this purchase. He really wanted a DVD player and we decided on this one. It was super fast to set up with the HDMI or the colored jacks. It comes with a remote that works great and is easy to use. He figured out how to use it on his own (he’s 8). It has good sound quality and it plays our DVDs with no trouble even though they have some scratches. It’s a small size so it doesn’t take up too much space! Would recommend!

Cons: My expectations were low when I made this purchase but even I had some delusions I could get it to play, stop, remove disk, to name a few. It managed to do these things for 1 day of use while sounding like I’m strapped to the undercarriage of the fuselage of a 747 while watching a movie. It’s loud, might stop working when it feels like it. Pros: it’s compactI seriously thought the next generation of DVD players, even budget friendly types, would be superior to the relics we left behind but I have been humbled yet again. Maybe it’s an anomaly and I have been chosen to pull my own hair out over a $40 dollar overpriced paperweight. I got one day of very loud noise emanating from the device, so much so, the movie could hardly be heard.

This is my favorite DVD player. I have a tendency to put a DVD player in my sunroom and let it continous play for days on end. Then when I am ready for a different DVD, I start the process all over again. It holds up for a number of years...that and my small tv.. I like listening to my favorite movies or music videos. Lol. It is easy to hook up and one can take it with them. It is a simple little player to have in kitchen or even in the kids' room. Oh I have one of these in my kitchen as well
