Not only is the battery itself a fantastic 1-1 replacement but the included tools made changing the battery a breeze. Not having to fidget for the ifixit kit was nice. My old battery had begun to bulge so I was so happy to find this.

I originally got this battery to replace the one in my old 3DS XL. Which is what this battery was advertised as being for. When it arrived it was smaller than my old battery and would not properly fit in my device. I will be able to use it on another device in the future, but it does not come with a proper guide which is not great. So just be aware before making a purchase.

The included Philips screwdriver does not fit the New 3DS backplate. Do not use it unless you want to strip your backplate.Otherwise, the battery is just OK, it's not quite as good as OEM, it's noticeably thinner, likely utilizing a smaller cell. The battery life is a little better than the one I am intending to replace. It's ok as a spare battery, but it's not as a real battery from Nintendo.

I got this to help restore my new 3ds xl. It doesn’t fit into the battery slot into the back at all. It’s too wide and too short. Do not buy if that is the system you have.

This is an excellent replacement, even if your battery isn't dead yet, as it lasts quite a bit longer than the OG Nintendo battery.It comes with 3 labeled screwdrivers, 1 for + (3mm yellow) and 2 for triwing (2mm blue and 3mm green), for opening the n3DS bottom. The battery is easy to remove and replace as there are no screws holding it in. Nintendo's OG battery states 1.4Ah @ 3.7V or 5.2Wh, where this battery states 2.5Ah @ 3.7V, which would be 9.25Wh. While most batteries seem to exaggerate their capacity, this one seems to be more accurate, as it does easily last longer than the OG.

This battery works very well, fits in my 3ds perfectly, I was so sad when the battery on my 3ds died because there are games I still love to play on it, when I saw this brand's batteries I thought, "why not, at least I'll get to play them a bit longer," there's nothing "a bit longer" about this battery, it's like my 3ds is back from the dead and here to stay! still working 6 months later!

My "New 3DS" was losing battery life quickly and would have a steep drop off in the last 25%. This battery seems to have brought it back to normal working condition, though I can't tell if it is lasting longer than the original battery when new. Battery life is good enough for me though. This kit is very convenient as it includes a screwdriver set that is good for other Nintendo handhelds.
