5.0 out of 5 stars Great guitar for the cost
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Very good beginner guitar for people with smaller hands. Im 57y beginner at 5'1 I found the standard acoustic guitar too big. This 3/4 is perfect for me. I adjusted the truss rod a half turn and it sounds great. The strings are good too. I usually like the martins custom light but the ones that come included are perfectly fine. I highly recommend. Very easy to tune and after the strings stretch it stays in tune very well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Guitar! Amazing Find!
I just received this Vangoa 36” acoustic-electric beauty. Tuned it (it held its tune overnight) and does not go out of tune while playing. I plugged in to my portable amp and joila! It sounds awesome! Only wish I could’ve found it in red or black) but… I am so happy to have this 36” guitar. In the zip top bag they include a cleaning cloth. Run that over the strings (they needed cleaning) and it’ll sound even better. I’ll change the strings to 10’s but for now they are good. It came with 11-52’s.Amazing all the way around-from the fret markers on the fret board and side of neck, to the strap buttons (there are 2), to the scallop and X bracing, truss rod, electronics, built in tuner is spot on, highly polished finish, front of headstock is black on the natural it’s a cool look. Frets are filed and rounded. Spruce top.Personally, I prefer the black tuning pegs to chrome, but even my Taylor GS Mahogany Mini came with the chrome pegs- everybody’s doing it. IDK. However, they work great, that’s all that matters. The action seems just right, for now. What a great size this is-for anyone! Through trial & error, I’ve learned 36” guitars are my sweet spot. The most comfortable and fun to play. Not to mention portable. For $150 bucks this guitar is so freaking worth it. I can’t believe they make guitars this cost friendly, that are of this quality. We’ve come a long way in guitar manufacturing & sales. The other guitar I use out in my yard, is the DONNER 36” acoustic = I LOVE that guitar too. You can’t go wrong with BOTH guitars!I don’t write many reviews, in this case I couldn’t wait to share.Happy Playing!
4.0 out of 5 stars Pick one up you can go wrong for the price
GIVE IT A FEW DAYSWhen I received this guitar and unpacked it I was thinking " this is small" and when I tuned it up and played it i thought "it sounds a bit shallow" and thought I'm going to return this but a few days ago I was in my room watching TV and picked up the guitar just to strum a few chords and realized that HEY this guitar sounds prettygood for its size and it's very easy to play. Now it's my go to guitar for learning songs and just messing around with chords and melodies. In my opinion it's worth every penny just have to lower your expectations just a little. Great travel and knock around guitar
5.0 out of 5 stars Exelente precio
Buen precio 100% recomendable
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality unmatched for the price .
Excellent looks. Actually looks better than the full size Yamaha sitting behind it. Sound quality is great ! For half the price of other brands. Bought for traveling, camping and not as loud sitting on my porch. The glossy finish is excellent. If your looking for 3/4 size with gr8 sound @ a more than reasonable price this is it !
5.0 out of 5 stars A great buy!
I’ve been taking lessons on a guitar that was too big and thought I’d give this one a try. Very surprised at the great guitar quality. The instrument is pretty and well built. The size is perfect for me , and it comes with a case and other great accessories. Wish I had bought it sooner!
1.0 out of 5 stars Such a disappointment
I purchased this black 3/4 electric acoustic. It was a very disappointing experience. The guitar had several issues. I asked a luthier friend of mine to look it over. He found the truss rod was nonfunctional and the nut and saddle were extremely high. The guitar body and top are made of basswood which is not what was stated in the product description and the matte black paint makes it difficult to determine the type of neck wood The body is full size which is not really proportional to the scale length for a 3/4 guitar. The guitar also had an inspection sticker on it indicating that it passed. I don't think they even attempted to adjust the defective truss rod. I would not recommend or even consider this manufacturer's instruments.
2.0 out of 5 stars frets are not leveled well and some frets ends are sharp to hurt you, may need to file
first of all this is a 3 quarter guitar, that means person who will use this has smaller hands. and it is most likely not a very strong hand. I would use a bit lighter strings.secondly, some of the frets' ends were sharp. I had to work on it.third, action was too high. I had to lower it. I used regular methods, bending the neck with wrenches. it helped a bit but not much. Then I lowered the bridge on the face. when it got closer, I noticed some of the frets were not aligned well, since, when I plucked, strings were touching. now you are gonna say, 'maybe lowered more than needed'. no because it was few specific frets, not all.
Fantastic value!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } First off, I virtually NEVER post reviews unless I think people need to know that there is a problem with the item. Well, in this case it is to RAVE about this guitar. Several years ago I built an exact copy of a 1933 Gibson OM from a Stewart-McDonald kit. Hours of work, but immensely satisfying. So that is the guitar I will compare it to. $200 and change? That would not have bought even a quarter of the kit. But here it is and it is gorgeous! Set up was already done on it. The strings are almost equidistant from the feet tops the whole length of the fingerboard, rising only slightly as you approach the sound hole. Impressive for a guitar in this price range. Does it sound like my OM? NO. But don't expect it to, the body size is much smaller. Does it sound OK? Absolutely. I don't use electics much, but I did test the output on a cheap Fender amp and it sounds just fine. Built in tunere is accurate and a nice touch. And playable all day long. The 3/4 size is why I bought it. I am a student guitarist, quickly approaching 70. So this is going to be my learning guitar. (Correct...I built a guitar with the intention of learning to play in my retirement years.). The smaller scale combined with the shape of the neck make this guitar easier to chord for a beginner. Think C and F chords, both very difficult for a beginner, but achievable with this smaller format. There were a couple of very minor things I found on it but easily remedied by me in no time at all. Overall, absolutely fantastic value for the money.
Beginners guitar
Great little guitar for the price, great for all alike.
great value
i am 5 foot six and have small hands, age 81, this guitar is perfect for me great sound, tuner and amp work perfect. i will change the strings to a medeiam string, i replced the pick guard with a white and gold one looks great on the matte black. would recomend this guitar. mike. l am adding to my review i have 3 vangoa acoustic guitars 2 paks of spare strings have only 5 strings in them the color balls on the ends are not univesal i have e mailed vangoa twice no reply found no way of contact in them beware, very dissapointed no cusstomer care. mike
Seriously amazing value and nice sounding guitar!!
Love this guitar! I am learning guitar for the first time and this guitar is so nice. For under $250 with everything you need, I didn’t expect everything to be such good quality and so lovely to unpack. I had a musician friend come over to help me tune it for the first time and he played a number of songs on it and was blown away when I told him how much I paid for it. The soft shell case has a nice foam support at the neck which makes it better quality than others I’ve seen. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a 3/4 electric acoustic guitar.
Very Disappointed
I didn't expect a lot for this price, but it should at least work. The battery compartment was broken, which makes plugging in to anything not possible.Very cheap, very crappy!
