The fragrance of the body butter is subjective; I was not a fan of it. The scent was strong and took a little while to dissipate. The butter moisturized my arms and legs but failed to penetrate the skin on the heels of my feet.The formula is creamy and absorbs quickly. The areas that were receptive to the butter (arms/legs) the moisturization seemed to last for a long while without requiring reapplication.

This body butter by Shea Moisture does work well, and is a pretty good value too - the perfect combination. Packaging is pretty simple and straightforward, just like other Shea Moisture products. The consistency of the body butter is pretty average: creamy, not runny, not pasty. The body butter rubs in easily, and feels really nice to apply. I personally didn’t have any irritation with this body butter, although my skin is not especially sensitive. It does have a moderate level of added fragrance, but nothing too overpowering. I found that it dissipates pretty quickly after the product absorbs. I thought I would test this body butter in Las Vegas during the summer to see if it could hydrate in the extreme dry heat. My skin held up pretty well! Stayed hydrated and smooth the whole time I was there. I’ll continue to use this throughout the winter to make sure my skin stays in good condition.

This lotion is very moisturizing and makes my skin feel great, I unfortunately can't use it though because the scent is so strong I end up with a horrible headache. It's a nice smell, it's just very overpowering and is hard to wash off.

I loved the smell. I really wanted to love this as I love the intensive hydration conditioner but I wasn’t a huge fan of the waxy feel. Though the biggest drawback for me was it reacted badly on my face. Anywhere it touched my face, my face went bright red and hot in that spot. I’m usually not a chemical sensitive person. So unfortunately I’ll have to find a new home for it with someone not so sensitive.

I usually use only raw shea butter on my skin. This is easier to use- it's softer, more easily absorbed, and seems to last forever. I could still feel the difference in softness in my skin over 24 hours later. I will be switching to this. There was such a difference that even my husband noticed and said I should switch to this and use it all of the time. Excellent product.
