I develop software for industrial conveyors that are much larger; but this compact desktop unit works in the same way so I can use it to test functionality. A great development aid.

Do not buy this it is terrible quality, and the instructions are not in English and cannot be changed to English and tech-support does not help.

Great kit, Runs a bit faster than expected. Easy to assembly and adjust height. Easy to connect railing if you want to make or by railing.I was wanting to setup a conveyor for my 3d printer poop. This is a great step. But i don't want it always running so now i need to figure out how to make it come on periodically to move the poop into a container.

This conveyor belt is the same kind that you see in factories around the world. It includes everything needed to power and mount it, but beyond that you need to design your assembly line, feeder mechanism, etc. to work with it. It is also fairly small. I am using it for a project that involves passing items under a camera, which means that I am not using the included power supply but instead driving the DC motor via a motor driver. It works extremely well regardless, and I would highly recommend it if you need a nice conveyor! My one gripe is that I could not find the CAD files for it anywhere. If you are building a professional system, a CAD model is absolutely essential to have on hand.

In my case, I needed an undersized conveyor to be used as a takeaway belt from one filling machine to another station.Too many parts need to be assembled, and the speed controller needs to be overspeeded first and then slowed down to find the sweet spot.Overall, it's a good belt for my needs, and if I need any more small takeaway conveyors, I would order another one of these units.

The stepper system won't actually run the belt until you turn the dial over halfway, and then the speed is inconsistent. Between medium and high speed there isn't much of a difference. Unsuitable to my needs as I needed a true controllable RPM.
