The black lining doesn’t bother me at all as some reviewers mentioned. It blocks more sun that way. We walk to church so I wanted something that I could use for sun as well as rain. After looking at many options, this was the best priced one I could find.

I love these umbrellas, they are great for rain or sun protection. I have 5 of them in different colors. I ordered my first one because it was cute and offered sun protection. Little did I know how it would change my outdoor experiences. Standing under one of these in 100° heat makes it feel 10° cooler. It’s a life saver.

I bought it for my wedding, ended up not using it and using it more after the fact. Living in Florida it cuts the heat like no one’s business and I sweat much less if not at all.

... Rays, look elsewhere. I bought this after visiting Japan and seeing numerous people using this style umbrella to protect them from the sun 's rays. When I got this in the mail, I immediately tried it during a walk. The black UV coating did not block much at all. You could see sunlight through it.Since it hasn't rained here yet, I'm not sure how it'll hold up in the rain.Cute look & color which is why it gets 3 stars.

Okay, this is bigger than I realized but it's still pretty f'n dope! I'm a fair skinned, goth chick and really wanted a killer sun umbrella. My only issue is the handle..... It's not gold in the images and I don't see any gokd handles in the reviews.... Now I'm not saying that goths can't or won't, rock some gold but usually we dig silver. I guess I'll either paint it black and seal it or try to heat a piece of vinyl around it. I love it anyway!

It keeps your head dry at least. Good sun protection for your head and top of shoulders. It doesn't make that cone shape as in the product picture.
