It has so many settings so you can have your coffee the way you like it. I like that I can have decaf coffee and my sister can have regular without emptying the bean container to change beans. Did considerable research after my 20+ year old Saeco Xelsis finally gave up, old friend owing me nothing! Ultimately chose the Jura J8 Twin, mostly for the two grinders because my partner likes caffeine and it's definitely not good for me. Why should he have to add grinds in a chute when I'm getting freshly ground beans?Although I have only been using it three days and have not yet made time for learning how to set a profile, I'm in love. Using only default/factory settings, have not tasted anything but a fabulous cup of coffee, cappuccino, espresso...Purchased the white, and it's Very attractive. Nice big, colorful screen. Didn't think the Coffee Eye would be helpful - I was wrong.Price aside, go for it!

I have had a Jura for over 30 years and have loved them. It makes the best cup of coffee, both fancy and plain. I have had very few problems with any of them. This id my fourth one. I bought this one because finally I don’t need to worry when I just want decaf as this machine has two bean hoppers so I keep decaf in one and caffeinated in the other. I would highly recommend this machine.

It's a great machine, wife was kind of iffy but after a single latte she was sold... that milk froth! (it's perfect) Only worrying things is the frothing kind of failed a few times (works if you hold the milk higher? suction issue?) and a few times it has demanded we empty the drip tray when it was totally unnecessary. (Some contacts I need to clean? Not sure)Being able to make a half decaf turns out his the most useful thing in the world when controlling caffeine intake. Anyway, if you can stomach the price, your mouth will thank you.Update May 31st, 2025: Well, I'm dropping it a star. The milk system finally completely died, even after ordering official replacement set for the tubes and lots of cleaning. Unfortunately Jura Japan refuses to service this model so there isn't much we can do. I haven't tried to see if Jura US would service is, but considering the shipping... So maybe don't buy it if you live in Japan, I guess they don't sell this model here and don't offer any solutions for it.Update June 16th, 2025: Ok, Jura Japan has said "because you bought it in America, we will never service it for you here, even if we do sell the same exact machine". The cost to send a heavy thing like this to the US and back is insane so that's pretty lame. Don't buy and move to another country I guess.I dropped two more stars for this, I mean c'mon, for this price, Jura Japan should really offer service on American sold machines and vice-versa.

Makes good coffee but the amount of water you have to keep putting in this machine is unreal I purchased a float to install on this item to have a 5gallon jug under the sink never did it yet the machine is to nice to have a hose drilled through it plus the amount of time it cleans it’s self you will alway be filling it with water bottles gets annoying I don’t want to return it but looks like I’m going to have to also if you have a large coffee cup it will fit but you will have to tilt it at an angle you would think you spend all this money and still have to fight getting your coffee out of the tray speaking of the tray get ready to empty it from water cause the machine spits into it when it does a cleaning and it cleans it’s self every time it turns off

I've been using superautomatic coffee makers for maybe 20 years, and I've always considered them a gift from God. I had a trusty Saeco for about 10 years before relocating it and buying a Jura S8. The Jura makes coffee that's clearly superior to the much less expensive Saeco. My only beef with either machine was that I could not switch easily between caf and decaf. The J8 addresses that issue and more.The J8 allows you to put decaf in one hopper and caf in the other. You can then customize drinks and save them to the display so your favorite drinks are only a touch away. For example, a double espresso 50% decaf is a one button drink, as is a 50% decaf Americano, or a decaf cappuccino, or a full strength regular coffee.You can have 9 customized drinks per display "page", and there are 2 such pages available. You can vary the amount of beans, grind coarseness, extracted coffee, water, and milk for each drink. However, the coarseness does need to be adjusted manually, but it is easy to do with the two dials located in front of each hopper.As an added bonus, the coffee quality is great. I think I'm in love.
