I made a batch of scones substituting the powdered eggs for real ones. The only frustrating thing was the package and note above just says "parts", which can be teaspoon, tablespoon?? I went with two tablespoons of powder to 3 tablespoons water per egg and mixed well. It did mix easily. I added the half & half to the egg mixture before adding to my dry ingredients. After baking I tried one. It was a new recipe of apple cheddar so at first I was more interested in the flavor. Half way through the scone I remembered I hadn't used real eggs and was really pleased with how they turned out. Crispy outside and light & fluffy inside. The recipe needs more apple but otherwise the powdered eggs worked surprisingly well.After submitting the review I checked out weight. One tablespoon of the powder is 5 grams. The package says 1 scoop is 15g. That 1 "scoop" is equivalent to 3 tablespoons. So still unsure of what amount of powder equals an egg when it says "2 parts powder + 3 parts water". But that ends up being about 47g. A regular egg is about 50g. So, I'm sticking with the 2 tablespoons powder + 3 tablespoons water in baking recipes. Hope this helps.

With egg prices skyrocketing, I was eager to find a more affordable alternative, and this product fits the bill.First off, the taste is just fine. I couldn’t notice any major difference when I used it in my baking. The flavor was spot on, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s also gluten-free, which is a big plus for anyone with dietary restrictions but all eggs are naturally gf lol.However, I do want to mention that the instructions for use are a bit unclear. I found myself guessing a bit on the measurements and how to incorporate it into my recipes. It would have been nice to have clearer directions, especially for someone who’s not as experienced in the kitchen.Overall, I’m happy to have Talcufon Whole Egg Powder on hand. It’s a good option when fresh eggs are either too pricey or unavailable. Just a heads up to anyone thinking of trying it: make sure you read the instructions carefully, even if they could use a bit more clarity!

Terrible…. These do not make scrambled eggs… seriously should have listened to the reviews. These do not make scrambled eggs. I wish I could give zero stars. I did the right ratio and tried many times. What a waste DO BOT Buy this product - oh you can’t return it either.

I have a long history with powdered eggs from my time in the Navy—once we ran out of fresh eggs (which usually happened within two weeks), the cooks would switch to powdered eggs for baked goods, omelets, and scrambled eggs.Performance & Taste:In baking, these powdered eggs work exceptionally well—you can’t tell the difference in things like muffins or pancakes.They're just okay when used for scrambled eggs or omelets—the powdered egg taste is noticeable, but they still get the job done.I’ve been using this product since the egg shortages, and while it’s not perfect, it’s a solid backup. I got these to have on hand just in case I couldn't get eggs. I used them in hamburger patties, cake, cookies, and Thanksgiving stuffing. They work well, just make sure you add enough water. I wish the package had a clearer instruction for substitution, I was kind of just guessing but it turned out.

I just received this but haven't tried it yet. There is important information missing. How much of the powdered egg equals 1 egg? It says serving size 1 scoop. No scoop included, so exactly how much is that? Maybe a tablespoon? I REALLY need to know for recipe purposes.
