It keeps them from moving & the glass can be used as a magnifier. I like that they come in a cloth bag with a draw string for storing.

This magnified paperweight has the classic clear bubble shape...it looks great and magnifies Greatly...perfect for scanning small print quickly ...and its a great useful desk decoration as well as my favorite new fidget toy!

This dome is crystal clear and magnifies very well. It is quite heavy for its size, and comes with a nice little velveteen pouch to protect it. It would be useful for those who have difficulty holding a magnifying glass at the right distance, or for the times you need a small section magnified for a longer time.It also just looks cool.

Maybe for a sheet of paper but these are lightweight plastic. I had to return them. They wouldn’t even hold down my sanity.

Very heavy, and the size is a little awkward. If you read at night you can't use a book light It casts a shadow. I would not purchase again. the magnification is just ok. Not as easy to use as I thought it would be.
