Worked really well to clean the paint before I applied the ceramic coating. Directions are straight forward. This is a very important step to make sure your ceramic coat will last as long as possible.

I used the Magic Shield Prep Spray for Cars to remove some oil and grease splashes on the lower rocker panel of my car. It worked well to remove the oil and grease spots. I am not planning to do a full car application of this product until the weather warms up then I will do a full car application.

For those who are serious about coatings, you’ll know that the number one most important factor that determines the level of success of a coating is the surface preparation. This purpose built product does just that… it preps the surface for coatings. Great find!
3.0 out of 5 stars I’d like to think I’m using this correctly
I can’t tell if the product has something other than IPA in it, and that’s what’s being left behind, or if this product is just melting my paint. I spent a while compounding, polishing, and prepping my car for a fresh coat of ceramic, and everything was going fine until I got to this stage, where it basically ruined all the work I had done. Spray it on, small sections, wipe with a microfiber until the streaks go away. It doesn’t matter how fast you work, the streaks will always appear, and they’re a huge hassle to get off. Wiping with a microfiber, I ended up putting more swirls and streaks in my paint just to remove this stuff, and ended up going back over it with compound to fix it. Then I noticed overspray from this stuff further down the panel, and ended up trying to pressure wash the stuff off my paint. I dunno what they have in this stuff, but 10% IPA + water works better. This did more harm than good. If the problem is user error, they should update their instructions because something isn’t right.

I am not new to detailing - I have been taking care of cars for over ten years and have ceramic coated around a dozen vehicles. I decided to try a new prep spray because it is always fun to check in on new products in the industry. I am disappointed in this prep spray - the bottle lists it as 30% IPA which should be fine as a prep but the concentration is clearly higher than that, as significant streaking occurs when using this spray. It's almost $20 for a 16 ounce bottle which is far too expensive for a product that doesn't work. I went back to my own distilled water and IPA dilution and quickly removed the streaking caused by this bottle.

This product easily removed wax and silicone build-up on the surface of the clear-coat just prior to spraying a color-match. After properly sanding, simply spray on a shop towel and wipe the surface clean then follow-up with a a tack rag. Can also be used for simple removing of unwanted wax build-up to reapply a fresh coat of wax. Great price, works as advertised.

I decided to try the Prep Spray since it’s a new product from Magic Shield, and I’ve had great results with their Ceramic Spray—it works awesome! After reading the reviews, I noticed some mentions of streaks, and I did see a bit of streaking when I applied it. However, once I rinsed it off and gave it a good wipe, the streaks disappeared, along with all the grease and residue.I also noticed that the water didn’t bead on the paint after using the spray, which shows it effectively removes any hydrophobic coatings and prepares the surface. Once dry, the surface was completely spotless and ready for the next step. So far, my new coating is holding up pretty strong. Definitely a solid product for prepping your car!
Good product for the price
I give it 4 stars. It's a good product but it doesn't last. As long as they say it does, it's supposed to keep the dirt off of it, but it washes off a lot faster.

it worked great to strip the factory wax off my new car.. The application of the Ceramic coating was very simple...Highly Recommend this product if you're going to do a Graphene treatment to your paint.

Honestly I cant see much difference with or without in terms of durability. Also for those who have wrapped their car, this is containting isopropyl alcool and it tend to melt the adhesive of the wrap…
