Super surprised this has not come up on anyones radar yet for communication from outside of a clean room to inside. Easy to keep clean and so is the charger. I love these intercoms because they are small and simple to use for instant connectivity to another room or person but...it is small. Small enough to slip into a pocket and forget about...which means that it doesn't get recharged which means it becomes hard to find.. I use this specifically for a person who is forgetful...and tends to not answer when called..the solution was to hang it around his neck so he couldn't lose it and the ringer, which close up can be annoying, can thankfully be heard from a distance.it's also great for upstairs, downstairs connectivity.

These arrived much faster than promised and setup consisted of finding a USB port to plug into. They have no problem dealing with the 50' and two exterior walls between the kitchen and my backyard office.

This is a decently made item. I say "decent" because I would say it is somewhere between well made and cheap. It is rather lightweight, but not so light as to be super cheap. But it is not heavy duty either. When the door bell rings, there is some vibration noise in the background, especially on high volume. Not a deal breaker but was the first thing I noticed when testing it out.It is a bit difficult for me to test the talking part since I live alone and if the 2 are too close, there is feedback, but I can hear it just fine. I just can't tell you if there is some static or anything.The doorbell volume has 5 levels, but there is really only 1 soft level and the rest are super loud, with the last 2 or 3 levels not really seeming to be any different in volume. I am fine with the soft level, but if you want something in between soft and loud, well, maybe there is one option, but to me that one is pretty loud.This doorbell is rated IP67, which is a weather proofing rating. The 1st digit is for solids and the 2nd for water. The 6 indicates that the product is dust-tight. The 7 indicates that you can immerse it in water for a limited time (the limit is not defined in the rating system) up to 1M. Probably not a good idea to test the latter out. I'm not sure if that rating is valid, but I would say that it really doesn't look like you could put it in water. At any rate, the only scenario that would happen in is if you dropped it in the toilet, so maybe don't use this in the bathroom...My big issue with this item is that it is being sold as a doorbell, which it is not. It is basically a walkie talkie for use inside the house. So if you have a big house and say it is 2 levels and you have a servant, then if you are cheap, you would get one of these instead of an intercom. LOLBack to reality, there is no way for you to attach one of these to the wall or door. I had to get some 2-sided sticky tape and attach it to the mailbox. Although, I just realized I could have stuck it to the door. The only issue is that you have to remove it periodically to recharge, and the tape I got is super strong. hum. You definitely cannot screw it into the wall unless you get some kind of holder for it because there is nothing on the back to screw in or hang it with.SO, I am a bit disappointed, but we shall see how things go with the stick-to-the-box or door method.No comment on price just yet because I am not sure about how durable this thing is... Only time will tell.1 star ding for the misrepresentation and 1 star ding for not having anything to attach it with.P.S. - I can't tell you how far away from it works so someone else will have to see if it can really work from 1000 M away. (Although, note that in the part where it shows pictures, it says 100M, so the 1000M is probably a typo.)Update: Apparently you have to recharge this with the intercom ON. I charged it while off and it apparently didn't work because it only lasted a couple of days. Fully charged, it only lasts about 1 week with MINIMAL use.
