Hubby is the "security guru" at our house and he struggled getting this camera to function properly, especially compared to a number of other security cameras/ devices we use around our home and businesses. He eventually just gave up.Still, I adding back a star from what was to be a 2 star rating for performance because it serves the purpose of appearances. We recently took a trip and used a new pet sitter. Hubby put this camera just inside the front door where she came in to tend to the dogs. I asked, "Why are you putting this here when it doesn't work?" He said, "it doesn't need to work - it just needs to look like it works!" He set up other cameras that were less obvious in the dog care room and other higher security rooms like the office, which we could view from out of town when she arrived to tend to the pets.

There are several things I love about this camera and a few that I am not so fond of.The camera has a nice sleek modern appearance. The Picture quality and color are excellent and you are able to see details clearly. I love the pan/tilt and zoom features this allows you to easily view exactly the area you are interested in. The camera is capable of voice communications. It has a built-in microphone and speaker. They are not the loudest but they do work. There is also a motion detection and alert feature which works well and notifies you activity. The camera also does a decent job in low light situations. The camera can be controlled from the Ezviz app which is pretty full featured. It is also capable of integrating with Alexa, but the Alexa app does not include pan/tilt and zoom. App setup is straight forward and takes just a couple of minutes.There is a trial for video cloud storage. After the trial you can purchase this feature. The camera is capable of using a SD card for local storage. The card will need to be purchased separately, it is not included. The SD card slot is a little hard to find. What you need to do is manually move the black lens part up and you will see it. Just push up gently, and you won’t miss it.At this price point, this is a pretty good camera. My biggest complaint is that the tilt/pan zoom features are unavailable in Alexa.

I use this camera to monitor my dogs when I leave home for an extended period and it was the perfect solution to keep my boys in check while I'm away. They know they're not supposed to sit on the good couch but as soon as I leave home they go right for it, so I set this little camera up right by the couch to notify me when they come, and sure enough they went right for it. With this camera I was notified on my phone and very quickly I could tell them off. I really like the two way talk feature for communicating with them and the seamless integration with my phone was a very nice touch from the manufacturer. The pan and tilt functions work great and don't move or jerk around too quickly and is a great option for scanning the room for issues. The clarity of the video is great too which is nice if you need to zoom in to see something. All in all this has been a great little camera that I'm very happy with the ability it has given me to keep a watchful eye on my antique furniture.

Easy setup with the app on my Samsung. Would not setup from my iPad. Once setup it is viewable from either.
