This light fan combo was a little heavier than the cheap fixture I was replacing and seems a lot more solid and sturdy, with what I think is injection plastic molding frame and motor mount. Wiring pretty easy but had to consult papers for color code of the wires. Previous exhaust hose fit. Overall good unit. I'd like light to be a little brighter, but like the choice of different color settings. Reasonably quiet unit that moves a lot of air.

Starting off this review, I'm making my recommendation very clear, DO NOT BUY THIS. This is not something you want in your home and its not what it represents itself to be. After having a couple days to look this thing over and take it apart (including some destructive testing in the name of safety for anyone looking at this item) my reasonings for this are below.Starting with the item description, this is described as having a 3 color temperature light in it. This is 100% false. There are no light control settings anywhere and the LED power board is just a simple AC to DC rectifier/transformer from what I can discern. The color temperature is always going to be a warmish white.Next is the wiring and this is a big one. All the wiring is VERY small gauge, crammed into a tight cavity that is literally bulging because there is not enough room to fit it all, and everything has these crimp connectors that are meant for low voltage automotive use. Speaking of those connectors, all of the crimps have been done poorly so the protective plastic is compromised and the aluminum inside is exposed, making for potential shorts or fire. Oh and speaking of that, while it appears as though this might be copper wire used, aluminum crimps are just asking for galvanic corrosion, especially in a bathroom where moisture absolutely will be present. None of these issues make any sense and inspires no confidence in the thought or care to making sure this is electrically safe.On a different electrical issue topic is hooking this up to power. By code in the US, all electrical devices must have a junction box this is accessible and not hidden behind a wall or ceiling for all device connections. This is normally not an issue with most bathroom fans as they contain their own junction box on the unit itself which is perfectly code compliant. This has not such provision and as such there is no legal way to hook this up without having to put a box on the ceiling next to this unit.Next up is the unit plastic. There are no mold markings as to what the material is, however it feels like really cheap grade PVC plastic. This in and of itself isn't exactly a problem, but my concern was if it would resist heat or flame as it is containing a couple electrical devices (and as mentioned some questionably safe connectors). Using the cover for the electrical compartment as a test piece I first tried touching it with a soldering iron set to 150C. It melted somewhat quickly which leads to my belief this is some form of PVC vs ABS. So to take the further I wanted to see if this had any flame resistant qualities.....it doesn't. I was able to hold a lighter up to it and after a few seconds it lit and continued to burn. This to me is pretty alarming as this could easily start house fire in case it gets hot or a wire shorts out.Lastly, and given what I found I'm not surprised, there is no testing certification marks from either UL or Intertek to indicate this has been tested and deemed safe for use. This is a big deal as this puts the end user at significant risk if this is installed. Should this unit be the cause of a fire and the insurance company catches wind of the lack of certification, there is a high likelihood they will deny the claim and leave you holding the bag.All of this added up, I'm again 100% advising to avoid this unit entirely. Its not safe nor legal to install properly. I'm going to permanently disable this unit I have and toss this in the garbage so it never gets used.

People dont understand how important it is to have a exhaust fan in your bathroom. Without one you have no way to get all that humidity, heat and moisture out, and as it sits in the bathroom it creates mold. Usually starting on the ceiling. After remodeling our bathroom due to mold. We decided to install one in all the bathrooms in our house. This bathroom exhaust fan came with a light, which made install easy. We just wired it up to the old light wiring and replace the old light fixture with the new fan and light! It looks so much better! And its functional too!

I got this to replace a vivohome unit I received broken and the company didn't feel like replacing it. Happy I did as this one went up easily and worked great right from the start. I installed it in a rental unit I have and forgot pictures but so far no complaints. It was very quiet and has good air flow creating a solid push heading out through the exhaust. Very happy
