5.0 out of 5 stars Needs Work but Solid Vacuum

You pretty much get one cleaning per charge. It will not connect to my app despite trying all troubleshooting. When finished cleaning it will park itself at the wall but it doesn't stay there very long. So if you don't pick it up at the end of the cleaning you're going to have to fish it out with the hook. Often sand gets collected underneath the basket, not in the basket. Overall, I still prefer this over the Dolphin since it doesn't have a cord.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stay with corded robots.

    L.J.L. · June 11, 2025

Well the concept is great and I like the way it cleans the pool. It climbs walls and does my 20x 40 poll in a couple hours. Charging is as easy as setting it in the cradle. Filter basket is easy to remove and squirt a hose through it to clean it. I like that you can set robot in the cradle wet. It charges in a couple hours. Came well packaged.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good enough.

    A.C. · June 22, 2025

In general, it does well cleaning the bottom. We have an above ground pool. It tends to miss the same section of the pool no matter where I start the vacuum at. That part is a little frustrating considering the price. I do run it twice before the pool is clean enough. It will run for about an hour then dock itself. I pull it out, recalibrate then run it a second time. Overall, not having to manually vacuum makes the cost worth it for me. We have only been using it for a few weeks. I will update if something changes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Returned product but great service received

    M. · May 20, 2025

Update:Beatbot customer service has reached out to me and is working on resolving the issues I had with the machine. Updating review to reflect the service received. Nice to have a company that stands behind their product.Original Review:Ended up returning it. Initially worked ok. However subsequent uses it would catch the debris under the basket rather than in it. Bad design flaw as this lets debris fall back into the pool. Going back to a corded version as they are more reliable. Cordless was convenient but not worth the active in quality clean.

3.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to love it

    K. · May 17, 2025

I wanted to love this but returned and went back to my skimmer based unit.It did fine on bottom, not great around drains. My issue was it missed constantly around stairs, didn’t do well transferring bottom to walls. Mine are curved and it seemed length of tracks and suction power it couldn’t get enough to climb consistently.Maybe the newer model but too pricey for a pool vacuum.

5.0 out of 5 stars good quality

    g.d. · May 22, 2025

It is a very good robot. It cleans the pool at the highest level. The element is quite durable and its price really corresponds to the quality. My friend recommended me to buy it because he has had it for two years and he is also very satisfied with this product. Research conducted on the Internet also confirms that this is the best choice compared to other competitors. It is so cute that I fell in love with it like a pet.

    Very efficient and effective

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I'm a first-time owner of a robotic pool cleaner, and was a bit worried that this relatively expensive Beatbot AquaSense machine was a bit over the top and a waste. After using it for the first time to do a quick early spring cleaning of my inlaw's inground pool, I'm a bit relieved that it's probably not the wrong decision to get it. Hopefully, with more cleaning runs in the summer, will have more feedback. So far, here's my take on it so far:The machine has a relatively sleek form factor that's neither too large or too compact, and it doesn't weight too much at 20-something lbs, so I can lift and handle it fairly easily. However, it is a bit difficult to lift it out of the pool. The build quality feels premium, with a metallic pearl finish that stands out while it's crawling inside the pool. The top-loading debris basket made it easy to clean and maintenance. In terms of cleaning power, so far it seems good, but during this first run, the pool wasn't too dirty, with only a few pieces of debris at the bottom, and some slight buildup on the walls. The suction power seems to be very effective, as evident in the fine layer of slimy stuff it picked up in the filter. The machine seems to be quite efficient at navigating along the geometric shape of the pool. It first moved along the wall edges to map(?) out the boundaries, and then seems to switch to coverage mode to clean the entire floor first, and then it moves onto cleaning the walls. On the walls, it's able to detect and then clean just above the waterline, before diving back down.Throughout the process, the rubber "tank tracks" seem to adhere firmly to the floor and vertical walls as it travels, and didn't seem to experience any slip at all. This is great as I was worried it'll fall off the wall and flip upside down, needing me to jump in to rescue it.The battery life is good, at probably around 2 to 3 hours or a bit more, which is more than needed to clean my inlaw's smallish pool. The charging dock is convenient, and the battery life indicator on the app is handy.Speaking of apps, it is quite simple but functional, requires wifi to function (the app, that is). However, note that it's not necessary to install the app to get the machine working, as the machine can function & clean on its own, simply use the buttons on top of the machine. On the app, you can also select between two cleaning modes, and it actually keep logs of the cleaning records. However, what's missing is that you can't remotely control the machine through the app, including interrupting the clean cycle, which I had wanted to do as I needed to leave to do some other work during mid-cycle.

Huge improvement from my older unit.

    C.f.C. · May 1, 2025

I'm not sure if it is the time difference or the price difference, but this vacuum is substantially better than my other one which is about 4-5 years old. I think the design differences and the ability to clean the walls, and be accessed without a pole is a massive improvement in cleaning and overall owner ease(if the power runs out - the pole is still needed).Another huge difference is this unit is able to be handled pretty easily, you can even put it in the back vehicle, which means I can take this to a rental to clean the pool when I cut the grass and reduce the time I'm there. The brushes on this do a better job cleaning than I expected, and to be honest a hardly manually cleaned the walls, and this does it all with no super vision/effort/time. The build quality seems better than my older vacuum by a long shot, I'm not sure if its somewhat because the other one is old, but side by side there is really no comparison - again this could be a price difference though(my original was around 1k)It's a bit pricey up front, but when you factor in the difference in cleaning between the two, and the ability to clean the walls, I think if I had to choose between a cheaper model that does less, I would pick this, the price difference seems to worthwhile for function and build.I do have some experience with the robot skimmers also, and if I had to choose between the spending money on a skimmer or vacuum I would 100% of the time go for the vacuum over the skimmer. It's much more useful and makes a bigger difference in time savings. I have seen the skimmer combo robots also, but again I think the really meat and potatoes of these devices is in the under water level cleaning, not the surface.

Decent Inground Pool Robot cleans floors & walls well, not sure about waterline

Review for: "Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner - Intelligent Path Opimization, Cleans Floor, Walls, and Waterline - Suitable for Above & In-Ground Pools up to 2,260 sq ft"Brand: BeatbotModel: A100 AquaSenseFirst look:The Beatbot AquaSense Cordless Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner came in a large box (35.5 cm x 47 cm x 58.3 cm) weighing 34 lbs. Inside the box was the robot, charging dock with 2 feet, hook end, user manual, and quick start guide. The charging dock has ETL certification and the plug itself has UL safety certification for use in Canada. The robot uses the "Beatbot" app (no reviews yet, 10K Downloads on Android). I chose to use the robot just on the default settings.Operation:The charging green line will be slow flashing when charging and solid green when fully charged. Before cleaning, check the pool pH is between 7.0-7.8 with the salt no more than 5,000 PPM and the chlorine max 4 PPM. The water depth for this robot is 0.5-3.0 m and it should be operated between 6-35° C (42.8 - 95° F). Turn off the pool circulation and remove all foreign objects including pool toys before putting in the robot. There should be no people or pets in the pool while the machine is cleaning.According to the manual, the charge time on this robot is 2.5 - 3 hours and the run time is also 2.5 - 3 hours. I found it ran for about 2.5 hours. There are 3 buttons on the top: the middle button is the power button, the left one is for quick mode (floor only) and the right one is standard mode where it cleans the floor, then the walls, then the water line. Before entering the water, the robot must be placed on level ground for 5 seconds for it to calibrate, then put it into the pool. There are no indicators that the calibration is being done or when it has finished. The robot needs to be pulled out from time to time to clean out the filter basket with clean water. The light will be red if you forget to put the filter back in.To turn off the machine, long-press the power button for 4-5 seconds to turn off the rollers and again to turn off the power.Testing & Opinion:I was confused with the buttons at first until I realized the lights for the power and mode are white, so they are difficult to see in the sunlight. When I realized the power was on and the mode lights were flashing for me to choose one, I was able to press the right button to do the floor, walls and water line, then it was ready to go.When it climbs the walls, it comes up on an angle, then straightens itself out to do the top portion above the water, then goes back down. It then comes up beside where it just cleaned so is very thorough. I haven't seen the robot go across the top of the water, but wonder if the waterline cleaning is actually done from the side of the pool. This could also be an option on the app. I will update if I see this being done. When cleaning the pool for the first time of the season, I needed to empty the basket every 10-15 minutes because it would slow down with the sludge on the filter. The second time I ran it, it didn't slow down or stop. I emptied the basket after 45 mins and it was half-full with no sludge. The manual says when the cleaning task is complete, the robot will attach itself to the waterline next to the wall, or if left idle for an extended period, it will descend to the pool floor to conserve power. My experience was that when the battery died, the robot was on the bottom of the deep end of the pool, and hard to find under the cloudy water. The hook (attached to a pole) is really helpful for pulling the robot out of the pool, especially if it isn’t near the edge.I found this robot worked quite well, and cleaned the bottom and walls consistently.

Such A Time Saver With Pool Cleaning

    J.&.J. · May 12, 2025

Before I got this, pool cleaning was a chore but now it's a snap with this pool cleaner. It’s easy to handle although it's a bit heavy at around 30lbs. Has great runtime at nearly 3 hours between charges due to the good sized battery capacity, and scrubs both the floor and walls without needing any help. The smart pathing does a great job of covering the entire pool, and the suction is strong enough to pull up fine debris and grime. I barely have to do any manual cleaning now. This thing is built like a tank; it feels expensive. The top-loading filter basket is super easy to empty, and the cordless design means no hassle with tangled cords or dragging a power line around. It even charges wirelessly on the included dock, which makes storage and recharging simple. If you’re deciding between a skimmer or a vacuum, this definitely does more of the heavy lifting. It’s not cheap, but the performance and time saved are worth the price if you value the time you're saving from manually cleaning your pool.

    Great robot pool cleaner

    T. · April 14, 2025

As a review of this free item I would have to say it seems quite expensive and there are potentially options that are offer better value for a lower price. However, this was a nice surprise. It handles our medium sized pool with no problem, thanks to its smart AI and efficient pathing. The N-shape and S-shape cleaning modes help it adapt to different layouts, making sure the entire pool, including the floor and waterline, gets covered. There are rollers on both the front and back, it scrubs thoroughly and picks up debris with ease. The filter traps fine particles, leaving the water super clear, and the 200W brushless motor gives it strong suction that lets it climb walls with ease. One thing to note, the manual recommends turning off your pool pump before cleaning, as the water movement can interfere with the ultrasonic sensors. The robot still works with the pump on, but it can act a bit confused at times.Being cordless is a huge bonus. No cables to manage or worry about where to plug in. It has run for more than 3 hours on a single charge, which is plenty for a full clean. The included wireless charging dock makes recharging simple, and the unit stores easily thanks to its compact build. The certifications also is a good piece of mind giving me confidence in its performance and durability, even when it’s running unattended. All in all, the AquaSense makes pool cleaning easy and efficient. It's a solid mix of smart features and reliable power, and if you're after a hands-off way to keep your pool clean, it's definitely worth checking out.
