Some things to like about this rib belt:It was designed to be ergonomic, with cutouts for under breasts, if needed you can wrap higher up the rib cage.It is very comfortable, even with it pulled very tight. I think that I might be able to wear it that tight, if I hurt my ribs or just need some support for the ribs.It is pretty lightweight, which surprised me because I expected it to be heavy due to how long and wide it is.It is made in the USA with all domestic material.It is NOT made with any latex.It comes in two sizes: one size (meaning one size fits most) and the XX-Large.It is 75 inches long for the XX-large size. Which would fit a very large person, as you take your measurement around the lower part of the rib cage, below the breasts. I should have paid more attention to the 75 inches as I probably could have used the one size, I think..It is washable.It is soft and very flexible.It is also didn't bunch or irritate while I was wearing it, as a test.Some things the manufacture could implement, for this rib belt in their improved 2.0 version: ๐I thing that the hook of the hook and loop material could be longer.It was hard to get my breasts to line up with the cutouts for the breast. where it should beI could only get one cutout think it was for someone much larger to get both cutouts to be under the breasts.I think that maybe the 'inner material could be a bit more firm. I am a short (5feet, 3.5 inches)woman so when I sat down after just a short time, it started trying to roll up. I had to get my husband to help snug it up so that wouldn't happen. However, if I had hurt my ribs, etc. I don't think I could snug it up that much due to the pain.I think the instructions are a bit confusing. It seemed to be saying to put the cutouts on the bottom of the belt. I looked at the pictures and did it the way I would do this if there were no instructions.I do like this rib belt.If they do a new and improved version, I would love to check it out.Due to the rolling issue, and how tight I really had to get it before it quit trying to roll.Bolo doesn't have a 4.5 rating, so unfortunately, I have to give a 4 star rating.

Sizing is important for a good fit.There are 2 sizes:--Universal (S-XL): fits up to 56" rib circumference (***IMO, the universal size is actually for those with a rib circumference of ~36-56"...NOT for smaller women. See below for more.)--Plus Size (XXL): fits up to 75" rib circumferenceI have a 37" circumference right under my braline around my ribcage. The "Universal" size fits me about perfectly. ***If you are smaller, this will likely be too big.*** When velcroed, the cutout falls almost exactly around the bra-cups on me. The band overlaps itself across the entire front of my body, so I have a double layer in front with the end velcroing at my side. The U-shaped dip in the front lines up even with the sides of my bra cups. I might have liked to pull the wrap a smidge tighter, but doing so would have made the front cut-out space too narrow, creating a U-cut-out width of less than the space needed for my boobs (DDD+...and wideset). Still, as-is, I get a level of compression that is absolutely beneficial.IF YOU ARE A SMALL PERSON, I think the "universal" size would be WAY TOO BIG, and you'd need someone to help you put this on. It'd need to overlap extensively and velcro in the back so that the boob cut-out would remain in the front. IF YOU HAVE SOME GIRTH, THIS WRAP IS MADE TO FIT!With several broken ribs that have been causing intercostal spasms out of the blue, I can tell you that this wrap is a GODSEND for me. The impact and intensity of the pain is lessened with my ribs braced where this wrap sits.Two things that are GREAT about THIS WRAP:(1) On the front area, the wrap arches to fit under my boobs, while it goes up at the sides to start compression higher on the sides and back, which is exactly what I was looking for due to where I've been getting intercostal spasms,and(2) This wrap does NOT roll! It lays flat, whether I'm sitting, laying, or standing, providing even support and compression.THIS RIB COMPRESSION WRAP IS EXCELLENT for my needs, and a million times better than the makeshift options I'd tried!

This brace has been a total game changer! I just wish I discovered it sooner. I cracked a rib a few years back, and it just hasn't been the same since. Some days are better than others, and on those "other" days this brace is the answer!It's good quality, easy to use, and provides support where you need it.One thing to note is I have a long torso for a woman, which might be contributing to how effective it is. I'm not sure it would work quite as well for someone with a short torso, but normal to long torso should fit fine.Overall I recommend!

I had taken a fall and hurt my side, rib cage area. Holding the area helped with the discomfort so I thought I'd give this brace a try. It's simple to put on with an extra set of hands. With the velcro you can get it in a comfortable place where it's tight but not too tight. It helps apply steady pressure which is pain relieving. I have found it very beneficial. Soft material although I used it over a tshirt. Durable and well made so it can be used many many times.
