I love this product. The smell is amazing and it absorbs quickly. It is advertised as a tattoo aftercare for new and old tattoos. I do use it for that, but I also use it on my hands and feet as a moisturizer. It keeps my cuticles and skin moisturized especially during the colder months. Do not hesitate if you are thinking about buying this product!
5.0 out of 5 stars Feels great! And is lasting.
No dislike, we love it.!
5.0 out of 5 stars Smooth texture; Light, Pleasant scent
This balm/butter is great. The balm itself is smooth, soothing, and moisturizing, and there’s no overpowering smell. The balm tub fits perfectly into a purse pocket to carry with you to re-apply during work. Just a dab covers a large area, and it's also great for application before applying a layer of second skin to protect the balm from rubbing off during sleep. It's not greasy and is easy to wipe off the hands after application.I've been applying 3-4 times per day since getting a small touch-up a few days ago, and I'm past the flaking stage and starting the skin returning to normal appearance phase. The balm significantly reduced the amount of itching during healing, and it helped reduce the redness and icky appearance of the flaking. It also works well on healing burns and minor scrapes. It didn't get grease spots on my clothes either like some others I have tried. Great product, and would definitely buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seems like decent product
I tested this on one of my older tattoos to see if it would really brighten it up any. It did a little bit but not a lot. It goes on well and feels a little thick so I would use just a little at a time since it will spread out and take longer to rub in. It has a nice scent to it which I didn't smell until after I applied it. It's not a bad odor but I did notice that when I sniffed it from the tub versus after applying, you could smell it better. I only tried it on my tattoo so I cannot say how well it will work on newer ones but it feels like a decent product.
5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is fantastic!
Both hubby and I have pretty new tats -- mine is mostly healed and his still has a day or two on it. We've been pretty happily using a drugstore product that works just fine, but really loved getting this in. It smells sooooo good -- kind of like a slightly floral honey scent -- and it goes on like silk. Doesn't feel greasy or sticky after, and just leaves things feeling soft and smelling yummy. We have a bit more ink planned before the end of the year -- will be really glad to have this on hand!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice balm, impressive ingredients, but...
I was very attracted to this balm partially because it is made in the US and I also really appreciated the clean, natural ingredients. I really don't care to use chemicals on my skin in general, but I especially don't want to slather them all over a brand new tattoo. Not only is the formula natural, but it also has some really impressive, skin loving ingredients that promote healing too. It looked promising all around and it definitely doesn't disappoint either. The generous sized, plastic jar arrived super quick, sealed and protected from adulteration with a plastic sleeve. Under the lid, another seal covers the jar and product itself. The bottom is stamped with a lot # and expiration date, which isn't too far into the future. Honestly though, I'm not surprised because there are no chemicals or preservatives in the formula, just natural ingredients. The product is a solid, off white looking mass that feels quite hard in the jar. The two main ingredients in this formula, both natural, have melting points that are usually right around body temp (Shea butter at 89F-100F and mango butter at 86F-99F). Since this is contained in plastic and it's not all that common for it to be sitting in 90F+ temps, it does stay pretty solid. I found that the best way to get this out of the jar is by using an old skincare spatula or fresh popsicle stick and scraping thin layers from the top of the mass. Once those thin layers are in your palm it is incredibly easy to work them into a spreadable liquid as the body heat melts them down. From there, this glides across the skin so easy and doesn't even pull on fresh or peeling skin either. A little of this goes a very long way making it easy to overload to the skin in the beginning. My advice is to start small- you do not need huge digs and chunks of this, even for larger coverage areas.Whatever you do, do NOT put this in the sun to make it soft or the microwave either. These natural ingredients start to go bad with exposure to light and air (which is partially why the container is dark- I assume to protect the contents). Trust me- scrape the thin layers and you will be fine. This has a fresh, 'warm' and enjoyable scent that isn't overwhelming or migraine inducing. It doesn't smell synthetic or fake at all.Once this is on the skin it does take a few minutes to fully penetrate into the layers, even on dry, freshly healed skin. As it is getting absorbed, you can almost feel the layer locking in tons of moisture and hydration, which as we know is what tattoos need and love. This, without a doubt, helps promote proper healing and helps with bright, vivid color retention too.I got a pretty large piece (3/4 of my side) done about a week after I received this. I was religious at slathering this on after the second skin came off and I was in the itchy, peeling phase. Not only did this help tremendously with the itch, but it also helped the tat heal quicker all together. I continue to use this on that tat and all my other tats after I get out of the shower. What really surprised me is how well this gave new life to some of my older pieces that started to fade. I'm not going to say it made them look brand new, because it can't do that, but it did brighten them up a bit.Even with religious and continued use on the new piece and old ones, I still had A LOT of product left (4oz is not small, plus a little bit does the job very well). Seeing how I knew this wouldn't last forever, I started to use it on other parts of my body/skin that needed a little TLC. My hands and cuticles always look terrible because I beat them up too much. I used this on my knees, elbows and feet too. It moisturizes and softens the skin so well and is super enjoyable to use. I even decided to try this on my sunburned skin and wouldn't you know that burn never peeled and turned into tan a day later. This is really some impressive stuff for the skin, any type of skin tattooed or not. This stuff is absolutely fantastic, don't get me wrong and I definitely want to buy it again the next time I get work done, but as awesome as it is, I feel the $25 price tag is just too much! There really isn't any single ingredient in the formula that is hard to attain or expensive, so I will hopefully catch it when it is on sale.
