I have a light switch that has to be in the ‘on’ position in order for the other 3 to work. This would be something that the average person could work around, but when walking past through the hallway quickly, it often ends up being the switch that *certain* members of my family (me) inadvertently turn off (anyone else constantly forget which switch controls which light? No? Just me…?!) … the problem is, this omnipotent light switch also completely disables our alarm system panel that is on that wall. Unfortunately I typically don’t realize it’s been disabled until after I’ve left the house.Anyway, this product fixed my ridiculous problem. It’s functional, very easy to install, and looks great. Most of all, it prevents me from making the same dumb mistake every day. Buy it.

These are exactly what I needed- we have several overhead lights that have smart bulbs in them. Since we use Alexa, the switches must be left on to work. Putting these guards on reminds us to leave them in position, and guests don’t touch them by mistake. Yet if you do need to use the switch, a quick pinch opens the latch to access it. My switches have side dimmer buttons on them and it fits just fine over the whole apparatus.

I took a star away because I think it's overpriced for a simple plastic product but that's the only negative. This really does solve my problem. One of my dogs gets very excited about going out to the yard, every time, and sometimes would jump up and turn off the porch security switch by the door. No more. This cover installed so easily over my existing outlet cover using the same screws. It only took a moment and the living room switch is completly unaffected by the cover on the other switch and the clear plastic makes it unnoticable. It opens if needed but protects it the rest of the time. Good product, just a little too pricey.

I have smart lights all throughout my home to turn on/shut off automatically when the doors open/close or if you give one of the many Alexa enabled devices in my home.For them to work efficiently and whenever you expect them to, the light switches need to remain in the on position at all times.In my home, no one can seem to remember that I'm automating everything and keep flicking the switch to the off position! It infuriates me to no end!!!However, with these wall switch guards, that is NO LONGER a problem!Simple problems need simple solutions, right? Right!Installing these are incredibly easy - I like that the holes for the screws line up with most of the wall plates that I have in my home anyway so it wasn't hard to install.Also, I like that each wall switch guard has a lock feature so that you can't accidentally hit the switch if you're in autopilot mode.My toddler son can't mess with the light switches, my teenagers can't mess with the light switches and most importantly my boyfriend can't mess with the light switches!!!The set coming in an 8 pack allows you to pretty much set these up throughout your entire house without having to purchase more (unless you have a lot of light switches in your home!)It's at a reasonable price, it's durable and will save you a lot of headaches if you have people/children touching light switches when it's unwanted - this is a good buy!

For those that have used light switch locks in the past, this product will impress you. You can still access the switch if you need to by squeezing the sides ofd the cover and it opens right up. Otherwise, the switch stays in the position you choose. We used this with a motion detector in a pantry, so when you open the door the light turns on and turns off on its own after some time.
