This sourdough starter kit is a great value and includes everything you need to get started. The quality of the materials is solid, and it’s perfect for beginners or even those getting back into sourdough baking. The only thing I wish it included was a few basic recipes or a quick guide to get started. That would have made it even better. I started my sourdough starter in the jar!!!

I was looking for a good sourdough starter kit when I found this one. It has everything you need to get started. The tools as good quality and the baskets are well made.I have made several lofts with this kit and am very happy with the results. Definitely worth the money if you want to start making sourdough or any bread really.

This kit is great. It provides everything you need to get started cultivating your starter. I just baked my fist authentic, from scratch, delicious sourdough bread. It cleans up pretty easy. Never put that discard down the drain.

I can tell you this is my very first time making sourdough from absolute scratch and it did turn out quite well. First of all, I opened the recipe book and ignored it. The instructions didn’t include a recipe for the starter WITHOUT yeast so I wasn’t interested in it at all.The jar was plenty big enough and easy to clean. I had to keep the canvas top wet to avoid the starter from drying out and the screw tip lid did allow some moisture in the jar when I put it in the fridge (a little disappointing).The shaping basket was nice for size but I really don’t think it was necessary, I could have gotten the same results with a bowl, and a bowl would have been easier to clean.I actually forgot about the mixing tool (found it after I had finished), I will use it the next time just to see how it works.The razors are too flimsy for me to have even utilized, I used a sharp knife instead.The silicone mat was an absolute must!The brush was quite handy to clean my jar.The bread bags were a nice touch.All in all I did like the purchase but in hind sight it was a lot of items I just didn’t need.
