I have a couple of small electronics tools that run on 220V. These were tools I bought from outside-the-US vendors because I couldn't find anyone that made a US 110V version, even though they come with regular 2-prong flat blade plugs. I had made an adapter to fit the 30amp 220V dryer receptacle, and while it worked, it wasn't really an ideal solution.This voltage converter works like a charm. Nothing I'm using it for draws large amounts of power, and it is a lot safer and more convenient to use than my homemade adapter. While it is attractive enough to use in your kitchen, it's not a small device so look at the measurements so you know where you will put it.

I picked this up to use in our printing company. We have an odd piece of equipment that must have been built for the foreign market. It doesn't pull heavy amperage, but it does require a 220 volt feed. This converter allows me to use it from a regular outlet, rather than tying up two breaker spaces and having to run a dedicated line.Installation was quite literally plug and play, and it works exactly as I had hoped!

I was surprised by how small it was, the weight was what you would expect for the voltage being produced. The rice maker I have is the 2 prong side by side,the universal plugs are a bit lose, plug wise. Voltage output was steady and cooker work as it sould have. One thing to think about is it's weight when it comes to air flights may be extra cost for traveling.
