Outstanding. Bought it for the audio improvement. I didn't want to mess with headphones or earbuds. Audio quality is very good and an order of magnitude better than the built in speakers. Comfort is also good, with bets feel on my face and head. I wish this had a fan built in, as i sweat a lot, but i think the audio improvement is more important than a fan. Obviously, the battery gives more play time, as well.

Before I start with my critiques, if you're using the stock strap, this is a HUGE upgrade. Not only in battery life, but also in comfort. I'm coming at this review from someone who's used VR for a long time and has also used a ton of different after market straps.First thing that intrigued me was the built in headphones. For many years, I used the DAS modified for the various Quest models. This reminds me of that in concept. The built in speakers are decent. They connect via the USB-C plug, so if you want to enable/disable them, you need to slide a switch. But for the sound quality, they’re decent. The sound is a little better than the built in speakers. But the big foam padding on my ears really made it feel warmer than I usually do. I wasn’t expecting this sensation.Next up is the strap. This is huge upgrade over the standard setup. The Kiwi strap runs down the center of your head. Lately, I’ve been using a strap that runs the other direction. Across the head. To be honest, I prefer that style. They’re fairly similar in style, but the strap running sideways messes my hair less.The final thing I was a little disappointed by was the charging port being on the bottom of the battery. This is always an awkward place for the port. It just makes things more clumsy than necessary. I can’t keep the Quest in my stand while charging. As you can see in the photo, you need clearance below the bottom. It’s just not an ideal position depending on how you store your Quest.If it sounds like I’m being overly harsh, understand that I still think this is a very good solution. But it’s an expensive solution. And I don’t think it’s a complete homerun. There are reasons I wouldn’t consider it the absolute best. Of course, you may have different priorities. VR is very individual. The idea of built in speakers may trump all else for you. And this is a very nice all in one solution if it is.

The KIWI audio headset is the first attempt for external audio for the Quest 3/3S. The sound quality is very good and the headset itself is very comfortable. But the foam on the earphones are irritating to me and I wish they would make over the ear headphones. Plus the KIWI headset is a battery strap but doesn’t allow swappable batteries and that limits the amount of time I can play in VR. So if u want a comfortable headstrap with good audio but limits your gametime this is the headset for you; I would like more comfortable earphones and a way to increase my play time in VR

I've tried various head straps for the Meta Quest 3, including several from Kiwi Design, and this one stands out as the best. It offers the ideal combination of an external battery, extending the Meta Quest 3's life, and superior sound quality. The default sound from the Meta Quest 3 is sufficient for basic tasks, but for high-quality audio like movies or games, you previously had to use a wired headset or a Bluetooth headset, which often resulted in a slight delay.Recently, a headset with integrated audio attachments was released, essentially providing headphones built into the head strap. There's a toggle switch on one of the speaker arms that lets you switch back to the regular speakers if you prefer. Since using these speakers, I've never wanted to return to the standard speakers or headphones. I always noticed a slight delay with headphones, which was never too bothersome, but if I can eliminate that delay, I will. I also dislike dealing with wires, as it contradicts the wireless essence of the Meta Quest 3. Using wired headphones is counterproductive.The speakers' sound isn't groundbreaking, but since they rest directly on your ears, they deliver clear, loud audio. They also minimize sound leakage, so people around you won't hear much more than they would with traditional over-ear headphones.One adjustment was managing the arms. After using the Meta Quest for a couple of years without these headphone arms, I found it took some time to get used to maneuvering them when picking up or setting down the headset. However, after a few weeks with the headphone strap, it became second nature.One issue I've encountered is that the headset strap is supposed to charge both the battery and the headset when plugged in. I attempted this with a cable I know is powerful enough, but after a couple of days of charging without use, the headset's battery was down to 50%. This suggests that charging the external battery while connected to the Meta Quest 3 doesn't simultaneously charge the headset, which is disappointing. This feature was a major draw for me, as I liked the idea of charging both the battery and the headset together. I'll experiment with different power blocks and cables to be sure, but so far, nothing has worked.Overall, this has become my preferred Meta Quest 3 head strap. It's comfortable, like most Kiwi Design products, and with the additional battery providing extended playtime and the built-in speakers enhancing the audio experience, I thoroughly enjoy using it. If you're considering an aftermarket headset strap, which I highly recommend over the one that comes with it, this is currently my top choice.

Je reeeeeviiiii ! Enfin je peu a nouveau m'éclater les tympans sur beat saber comme sur mon regretté valve index !!! 😍 Le son est quali et moi faire du beat saber sans basse sans profondeur je prend vraiment aucun plaisir, là je retrouve l'immersion d'avant et c'est que du bonheur. J'avais bien fait des test avec des écouteurs,c'était bien mais ça me tenais pas dans les oreilles, un casque audio par dessus la sangle c'était pas très confort, le fil c'est emmerdant et il tombait avec les mouvement, la c'est juste parfait.
