    I was hoping to love this topping. I like it but wishing it had a better taste. Maybe it would taste better if I make better quality cupcakes. I still want to try it on ice cream and see how that tastes.

    After reading the description of the strawberry shortcake crumb toppings I thought it was going to be like the strawberry type cookie crumbs found on strawberry scooter crunches or the strawberry shortcake ice creams. It was hard candies and not at all what I thought. Even after mixing them into the ice cream they were still so hard they hurt everyone’s teeth and I ended up throwing out almost an entire ice cream cake I made with them. I thought maybe because they were put in a frozen dessert it made them harder so I tried sprinkling some on a couple cupcakes for the kids but again, they were too hard for them to eat.
