Great but pricy
Overall a pretty great controller. Good joysticks, great buttons, good paddles and a the software is surprisingly not terrible. Comes with a pair of domed sticks which is my preference. The only real con is the price. If I compare this to a really good cheaper controller like the FLYDIGI Vader 4, the SCUF is quite overpriced. You can get the Vader 4 for $80 or less (I've seen it for ~$60) and this SCUF ENVISION PRO costs $180, and it's not 2-3x better, but it does win in a number of categories:1. Sticks - SCUFF ENVISION comes with 2 sets, which should please most players. The sticks also are just more grippy on the SCUFF. Vader 4 only comes with one set of sticks and not able to find any domed top sticks for it.2. Comfort - SCUFF ENVISION wins here. It has a nice soft textured rubber backing on the grips. Much easier to hold if your hands get a little sweaty. I also find the SCUFF to be a bit bigger and better fit for my hands.3. Paddles - SCUFF ENVISION paddle placement is better and more usable. Now even though I complain about the price I have spend more money on controllers that are worse than this one.I have really only found 1 real annoyance with this controller after a month+ of playing, and it's not major. There is a switch on the back of the controller to swap between wired and wireless mode. I'm not sure of any other controller I've owned that requires you to do this. Most other controllers unplugged = wireless mode and plugged in means wired, not sure why you need a dedicated switch for this. If you want to charge the controller and plug it in while it's in wireless mode it just flashes red at you until you switch it to wired mode. It just seems kind of dumb but doesn't really affect anything.Overall good controller that's a bit over priced. Best for those playing anything competitive or just looking for a great controller with a PlayStation joystick layout and solid hardware.
Best PC controller I’ve used
I love this controller fits my hands well quality stuff clicky action buttons I admit the software is a tad confusing at first but be patient. It’s PC only
Scuf could almost be considered a scam with how many issues their controllers have
This controller could be so good, and god I wish it was. After a little more than two months of use, where I treated it very well and didn't drop it once, didn't travel with it, and rarely ever bumped it, the hair trigger on the left side works inconsistently and I can't fix it since it is the physical button itself that has been worn down. This happened on the initial controller I first received, and so I was able to return it and get it replaced for free and thought that the issue was a fluke. Now I am having the same exact issue again. This isn't my first run in with similar issues on Scuf, I originally owned the v1 version and a little before 6 months of use the back paddle snapped, again I was able to rma it and get it replaced... only to have that one develop stick drift.Avoid this controller at all costs unless you like having to replace your controller every 3-6 months, and this is with careful treatment. It's truly maddening to find a controller that has so much potential to be good since it feels good in the hands, has a nice layout, but just lacks either significantly in quality control, or is just thought out poorly when it comes to building a controller that won't fail in so many points. It really feels so defeating to spend nearly 200$ dollars for a "pro" controller only to not have it last even a year. I feel scammed and wish I could get my money back.
Great Controller for a Holiday Purchase!
Bought this controller and can already feel the difference in playing. It feels solid, and the weight to it makes it feel like a controller that won't break easily. It feels firm in my hands, and the buttons are responsive with no input delay, great functionality. After trying it for a few months, I'm going to buy one for my little brother, who needs a controller like this with the extra buttons. Also love the display of the box, it feels premium!!
Not Linux Friendly
I'm sure this controller would be great to use, it feels amazing but it is not natively supported on Arch Linux. If you're on windows, this would be an amazing purchase, especially if it's on sale. But it's not worth the money if you're on some distros of Linux unless you want to spend a few hours or days troubleshooting
Not for me.
Premium feeling controller. Could be a little cheaper in pricing. The button clicking was satisfying, the macros were very convenient. Returned it because it didn't suit me for my gaming. The side buttons feels a little bit overdone and pointless. Kept pressing them accidentally during my gaming. There's a way to disable them, but I did not want to deal with the configurations. Returned for a full refund. That was just my experience, still a great controller, just not for me.
Good controller, Terrible software
pretty good controller when it works. removed a lot of the extra buttons cause i dont game like that. now, the software was a real pain to figure out and i almost returned it thinking the controller itself was broken. but, past that now and its a super responsive very premium feel controller. if you have the money to buy it and your technically inclined and can google a setup tutorial seriously buy it. being so for real, gamesir has good feeling controllers that are just plug and play
Amazing controller, Bad software
App is a little janky but the controller is amazing. The extra buttons, size/shape, the clickiness of the buttons and knowing I won’t get stick drift for a LONG while makes it one of the best controller in my opinion. The only thing holding this thing back is the app. Sometimes it struggles to connect and it will also cause the back buttons to not work without restarting the PC.
Joystick 🕹️
Los joystick no son hall y mucho menos magnéticos, tienen much drift y es imposible calibrarlos, al final termine por hacer la devolución de producto
No complaints after 4 months of use and abuse uts
Amazing controller, you can feel the quality right away, haven't had any connectivity/app issues or problems of any kind after nearly 4 months of use.
It's a lot of controller. Great for competitive gaming.
When I saw the price tag, this controller had a lot of explaining to do and the TLDR of it is, I suppose it works hard to justify it. Playing with this controller feels snappy and responsive, when you hold it it feels a little heavy and sturdy. The grip texture on the back is subtle and blends into the rest of the controller body. Every where you look, there's another button that can be custom mapped, and if you're looking for where it stands a chance of justifying it's price tag, it's in the software. The fact that you can connect to it through iCUE, a big name brand program that a lot of gamers already run, is an amazing feature and one I'm sure didn't come cheap or easy to the developers. Through the software it has everything, remapping buttons, recording macros, even trigger curves. You can make the RGB sync with your PC's RGB setup to expand the iCUE canvas even further. The performance is fantastic, with sticks that respond to miniscule movements, and buttons so responsive it feels like they anticipate your presses. Every button is well placed and shaped comfortably, and the trigger toggles being tucked under the triggers themselves is a marvel of engineering genius. 5 G buttons is more than enough I say, you can make a Helldivers profile and create a macro for your usual combos, or set up Soldier 11's perfect attack pattern ready to go at a press of the button. This is certainly a top tier controller that would be king if it were more competitively priced, but it's got some tough competition I'm not sure people will be able to look past to see why they should enter this price range.
worst purchase ever, bad quality, way overpriced, already broken
i bought this controller and was sent a used one that was dirty. i returned it for a brand new one and received a new one the second time.after using for 2 months, the d-pad is already broken. i can't believe how much i paid for this controller to have it break faster than any other controller. i've used offbrand $20 controllers that lasted way longer.other positive writers either got theirs for free or haven't used it long enough to see it break yet. im shocked at how much i paid and how low quality it is.the return window is closed and Scuf/Corsair doesn't care about or guarantee their products so i'm out of luck. this is the worst controller you can get for the price. don't fall for the unnecessary "features", they won't last. there are way better and cheaper options.
No stick drift
I ordered the SCUF Envision Pro Wireless V2 controller for my son, and he absolutely loves it. While I can’t give you stats and breakdowns like some other people have, I can say that he says it feels super solid and that the buttons respond really fast. He mentioned the extra paddles on the back are great for gaming shortcuts, and he hasn’t had any stick drift, which has been a problem with other controllers. The set up took him only a few minutes on his PC and after that it worked perfectly it’s a bit pricey, but he says it’s totally worth it for how much he uses it.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = I love it and/or it meets or exceeds claims.⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Hey, this is pretty great. Meets claims, but may be slightly lacking in non-critical area.⭐⭐⭐ = Meh. It's okay but I don't love it. Someone might like it. Falls short in a more noticeable area or not for everyone.⭐⭐ = Not great. Best to avoid. Very noticeable shortcomings or issues.⭐ = Nope. This is bad. Does not meet claims or is harmful in some way.**All opinions are my own and authentic, and written by me.**
